I guess it depends on the purpose of your visit. If you think this visit will add value to your application, then I don't think the visit will matter now to CHC since your husband is waiting for his passport anyways. If the purpose is stay with him till the end of this process and if you can afford to live with him for the next two to three months then I guess you should go for it

I haven't visited my wife since I filed the application. At the time of filing the application (Feb), I had a friend who told me that process will take max six months so i didn't bother to plan for a visit. It wasn't until Nov when it dawned on me (through this forum) that I am in it for a long haul And by then of course I had used up all my vacation for that year. I am still friends with this dude... i have forgiven him

This year, I decided to save my four weeks of vacation just for this trip that i will be making hopefully this month. Oh what a blissful feeling this is... Patience is a virtue, something that Allah appreciates and it is good for you too!

Lol.....many things "dawned" on me too after reading this forum! Alot of misinformation out there especially if we try to compare our cases to one or two ppl but this forum has been very enlightening....

Assalam-o-Alaikum,
Just wanted to share an update. My husband did re-medical on july 17 ,2012 nd sent pp on July 18, 2012, but no update on online status. I contacted my MP last week on friday and he told me that he will contact CHC-I.Today, I received a response which is really stressing. for me it's hard to believe tht CHC- I didn't even receive medical results
Below is the reply from MP

"We have received the following response from Islamabad:

Thank you for your e-mail below. This application is currently in process and is in queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer. Currently, we await medical examination results for the medical letter that was sent out on 07 July 2012.
A copy of this message has already been mailed to you.


If your husband has not yet received the medical examination request letter, please provide me with his mailing address, so we can request that the letter be resent."
don't know wht's happening

This is strange. Can we contact New Delhi office to find out why our medical results have not reached CHC-I ?

True that! I wish I had read this forum before getting married. We would have done many things differently then.

Did you check the file number pasted on your medical request? I know of a case where they printed the wrong number (the one that begins with B). Although luckily that didn't land them in any trouble (the meds were received by CHC-I). But you could check all your details on the letter to find out if something is wrong there.

As someone who was born in Pakistan but spent almost all life in Canada, I'm not the biggest fan of Pakistan and don't agree with 99.99% of its policies (the few that exist), true the people are mostly great but seem easily tricked by a very corrupt political system but the main point to clarify here is that our visas are being processed by a Citizenship and Immigration CANADA office in Pakistan at the Canadaian High Commision-an office where no Pakistani official can even set foot. So if we do need to blame, it's our own government!

I think some blame is for us too-me included, we all suffer in silence. I know of no other government program which requires a support club (this forum)...were we ask questions and cry together. I tried to do something and had some support but nothing happened, maybe one day...

Agreed! We are a cowardly nation, and that is source of most of our problems.

hi everybody . if the medical +PPR coming together and they gived 30 days for medical and 15 days for send pasport . if we rcevied the letter after 10 days the date when they sended thats stand 5 days for send pasport and 20 days for medical exm . now we can not send the pasport whtin medical exm if few days let we send the pasport that wil be prablome ?

You could write to CHC in advance, informing them about the situation. But try to send it within the limit, because you can't count on them. Have you gotten an appointment for meds yet?

Congratulations to chc victims who got their remd-ppr request and wish u best of luck.

I have a question, my file was transfered to islamabad on july 2011. I have got AOR+Supplimentry form+Update Police certificate from UAE+Pakistan(Rawalpindi)+Proof of financial arrangment(sponsor's notice of assesment,previous or current job status etc) & RPRF in june,2012. Since then we have inquired twice about the status of our application from MP, but got the same response that our file is in que for review with visa officer. I am so upset why they we have not asked the remedical,despite my medical is expired in March,2012. Kindly comment in this scenario please.

even according to canadian law you can not disrespect other nations

Is it necessary for sponsor to have a job? because mine sponsor is not working, as she is living alone in Canada with our daughter.
