CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Salam Everyone,

Today i received Acknowledgement of Receipt of Application (AOR) and the letter is dated 15th Aug, 2012. In the letter several documentation listed from which one is highlighted, which they have asked to send back within 30 days of the date of the letter. They have asked to send Supplementary forms with that they have given download link. When i opened that link its supplementary information form. My question is do any one got the similar request? This is the only form i have to send CHC-Islamabad or there is some other document?

No bro i have not recieved AOR also, but when my file was sent to chc-i after some times i sent them an email and they replied and said that one of the immigration officer is working on my file.

U know my spouse told her MP to send email to Islamabad CHC. they reply and said we send out AOR to the applicant on july 13 2012 but i still didnt get AOR...dont know what to do now

Hey Defunkie, Ive been going through the exact same situation. I had sent an email to CHC-I regarding if my file had reached in Islamabad. Two months later they sent me an exact email that you recieved, noting that my file had not reached Islamabad and that i should contact the canadian immigration office for the whereabouts of my file. At that moment i was "freaking" out, I didn't know how 4 months (of file transfer) they still dont have me file. My first fear was maybe it got lost or something??. I decided to call CIC, however, the member just said I will "urgently" contact Islamabad regarding your file and its placement. Its been 10 days and i havent got a reply. Do you have any suggestions....Though i know when they confirmed the approval of my file it did come from ottawa pilot......

hubby chubby, I called CIC and was lucky to speak to a representative that was very helpfull. She put me on hold a bunch of times but she ultimately confirmed that my file was in Ottawa and advised me to resend any of my past communications with CHC Islamabad. When I was approved as a sponsor I received a letter stating that my file was being sent to Islamabad. I'm actually a bit more excited knowing that my file is in Ottawa instead of Islamabad, the way I see it is our files are on the top of the pile here, while they would be at the bottom in Islamabad. Anyways, what's ur timeline? let's try to keep each other updated since it seems that we may be in a different waiting period then others.

My file has been transfered to islamabad on july 2011, in june 2012 i got additional documents request( Original Nikah nama,RPRF, Supplementary form, financial support etc). We have provided them the requested documents, since then its silence from Chc Islamabad.
I have a question for you, does you sponsor working in Canada?, mine sponsor is not working because she is looking after our daughter. I have asked you this because we both have got the proof of financial request from chc islamabad and our timeline is same.

is getting AOR necessary? or very important?
i think if they had sent you a letter for your remedical then it means that your file is in chc isalamabad. then there is no need to worry about it.

i think some times they dont send AOR for some people. as they also didnt send me AOR, but this is very strange i dont know why they do this with the applicants?
for some people they send aor and for some others they dont send. it is really confusing.
