CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

hubby chubby, I called CIC and was lucky to speak to a representative that was very helpfull. She put me on hold a bunch of times but she ultimately confirmed that my file was in Ottawa and advised me to resend any of my past communications with CHC Islamabad. When I was approved as a sponsor I received a letter stating that my file was being sent to Islamabad. I'm actually a bit more excited knowing that my file is in Ottawa instead of Islamabad, the way I see it is our files are on the top of the pile here, while they would be at the bottom in Islamabad. Anyways, what's ur timeline? let's try to keep each other updated since it seems that we may be in a different waiting period then others.

Yes, I did a similar thing. I called CIC, however, my representative wasn't as helpful. She was just as confused didn't know where my file was exactly (though assured me it wasn't lost). She didn't mention anything about Ottawa pilot. I do remember when I got my email in may 2012 for file transfer, it did mention it was from Ottawa pilot. I think i will contact CIC again, try to get to the bottom of this confusion. I don't know how Ottawa pilots procedure is regarding spousal sponsership and how long it will take. Yes but it seems where in the same boat, I will tell you what CIC has said when I call them. When was your file transfered?

i have sent my passport through TCS and still waiting for visa. it is almost a month and i have not received it still waiting for my passport with visa. i am 2011 february AOR :-X

I ve the same case feb 2011, I filed my case, sent Passprt on 6th june. nothing from embassy no email reply and nothing on website.

if you sponsored your wife
then you are sponsor and she is applicant
the person that needs visa to come to canada is always applicant and the person already in canada is sponsor
i have the same time line as you
they opened my file in june i know that from online application status

i went to my MP and waiting for someone to get back to me......

can you tell us when you have submitted your passport and when you have got your passport and see your visa when the visa stamped in your passport .

Thanks alot,i got my pp today 11:00 am,karachi is my city,@ samnoo,visa was stampd on 15th aug,ppr n remed done 30th june pp was sent same day out of exicement i forgot to keep a copy of ppr letter n my hubby was as angry as one can imagine,Jazak ALLAH this forum has been really a great help to ease the dipression.May u all get good news today-aameen
