CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

I filed in Jan 2011 and file was transferred in Feb 2011. No, nothing so far.

I found out about this site late and didn't know what to do in the meantime while waiting for the process to complete. I only just got the Applicant File # last week and have not yet submitted any updates. Which is what worries me a little because mine is a Nikah only case (like many here) and it has been 10 months since my filed was transferred.

I am preparing an updates package that I want to send to CHC-I but not sure if they will start the initial review before then. I am also preparing to go back for Rukhsati in March 2012, Inshallah. Please share your thoughts and suggestions and remember me in your prayers as I will you.

InshaAllah you won't get an objection and even if you do get an objection, get the Rukhsati done and send them the proof as you are already planning for it.

Its not necessay that you get an objection letter if its a Nikkah only case. If you have enough proof of your relationship to convince the immigration officer that your relationship is genuine, then there wouldn't be any objection as we had a couple of Nikkah cases recently who got Re-med without an objection letter.

It can take anywhere from 9-12 months for their first request.

Walikum Salaam; bro my case moved to Islamabad in September 2011 and I just got my file number in the email. I haven't got any letter from CIC Islamabad. Let's hope in the near future for some good news.

I would've fell out of my chair if I was sitting on a chair, when I read a post in 2009-2010 thread by depression who applied in January 2011... AOR: March 2011 What's even more surprising is that her case is a Nikah Only, no Rukhsati. Do I see Hope for the rest of us, Yes! But who knows... it maybe too early to say anything right now.

Today, I received an e-mail from CIC-M regarding, stating my spouse(wife) application is accepted and the file forwarded to Islamabad.
Now my question is, how long it will take I hear anything form CHC- Islamabad?
and why I can't check my online status with UCI #? (should I put my last name or my wife's last name?)

i think she is bluffing...imm forms are good for 1 year...and it hasn't been 1 year since her AOR...then how can CHC ask her to refill imm forms...they would send her PPR directly...

I know prayers work...but then we have to be practical as well...like in my case....even if my wife gets the visa lets say in April...she wont be arriving till July/August because its her final semester.
