Hello.2009 October Sponsored husband in Pakistan.
I read this thread and thought may be I can get some help or guidance from your experiences. Your response to the request will be appreciated. Sorry to make it long but I wanted to get better ideas from u guys.

Before I give a detail about my sponsor, I want to mention, I am 5 years older then my husband, we are relative, and it is arranged marriage but its 100 % real. In addition, I put by mistake that my husband is not my relative actually he is. Recently I reviewed my application and found a mistake, so I wrote a letter to embassy for the mistake and corrected that form also explaining that he was my relative before we got married and it was clicked by mistake.please advsie is this letter gonna harm my case.

I sponsored my husband in Pakistan, application send to Mississauga office August.2009.
Application sent to ISB for process in OCT.2009 and then silent until June.2010.
July.2010 Request received for additional docs, such as picture, my visit to my spouse; phone bill etc.we sent these docs to them in august.2010.

Jan 2011 sent e mail to EMBASSY, to get an updates they replied his application is in qew for review. May 01, 2011. Letter received from Islamabad requesting for updated PCC, some more pics after married and phone bills. At same time, In June 2011 I visit to my husband in Pakistan and took some more picture, ticket, passport stamp, and bearding pass. by June.08 they said they revd everything put in his file.

August 01 2011-send e-mail to embassy asks them for updated status, and got reply saying your file is in process and queue for review, and the applicant would be called for an interview.

I am assuming may be our age difference is the issue here otherwise, all the requested docs were good. Please guide and give any tips for his interview. Checked with MP as well same answer every time. It has been 2 years, and I am tired and cannot think anything else other then my husband sponsor.

Okay. It could be two things that triggered the interview:

1) You are 5 years older than him. They always look at it negatively if the wife is older by 5 years or more. So it could most probably the reason for the interview.

2) You sent them a letter stating that your husband is your cousin. Now if you sent that letter 2-3 weeks before Aug 1st email, than it could be the reason, otherwise it wasn't the reason for Interview.


I would suggest you to order CAIPS as it might give you a better idea to the reason for Interview.

Whats your timeline? yaar I am still not sure about the address thing some say its just a glitch and some say its a coincedence so don't really know still. I do go to markaz normally but this ramadan I am going to Jackson Hieghts for Isha/Taraweeh.

My wife received back her passport with VISA and all the original and photocopied documents!

PPR was on Aug11th, PP reached the embassy on the 15th, VISA issued on the 19th, and PP came back on the 24th.
