I want to share something ....my wife applied for our daughters passport and citizenship from pakistan in march and she recieved a call yesterday after enquiring that she ll get her passport by next week .... and today my wife got another call from CHC-ISB and the lady was telling my wife about the application process for citizenship n passport for our daughter but when my wife told her that we have applied and we are gonna get it soon then she said thats great and that they are sending her remedical request for my wife so that she ll get her visa and travel together .

ii got married in karachi, orignally im from canada, born there, a canadain citizen but i went to karachi to get married

well you can argue that you were in the right age by the religion and your marriage is accepted in Pakistan as per their requirement that "the marriage has to be in accordance with the law and must be accepted in the country where you got married"...however, I do believe that in Karachi the "baligh" age is also somewhere 16+...but they do accept marraiges under this age if it your parents are fine with it...

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask something and would really appreciate if anyone would answer me... especially those who are done with their remedical. My wife got a call from CHC Islamabad right now and the person was inquiring if she has done her remedical or not. She received her remedical request on 3rd may and got an appointment on 23rd may. We sentthe remedical receipt proof to Isl a few days after the remedical and when I emailed them the tracking number of the medical receipt and some added contact proofs and asked them if they have received it or not, they confirmed that they have. My wife told the guy on the fone that IOM sent out the results last wednesday to India. He said okay and that it takes 3-4 weeks to come from INDIA and he just wanted to confirm if she has done her remedical or not. So can anyone tell me what his phone call mean? Is it normal or something unusual? I was just worried. Thankyou

It was probably just to check if you had the remedical done already, because it says in the letter clearly that if you don't get your medical appointment in 30days, then process of the application will end. And Rohina Sattar takes forever I think it was closer towards the end of your 30 day period thats probably why they called to make sure its done. It could be becauase your process might be done and they want to send you PPR to save some time let hope!

Thankyou wasme. Yes unfortunately my wife got the appointment really late and wasnt getting it before 23rd as she went to Roohina Sattar first and then cancelled to make one at IOM. Thankyou for the information. Do you think this call could delay the PPR request or speed it? I was just wondering that if they received my remedical receipt.. why are they confirming still? I guess just to do some double checks. Congrats to you and lets hope for the best.

Same with my wife, she received her remed request in last week of May and she got the appointment in Mid June very very slow these guys are...

15 :-X wow! that is really early...and where did you get married? which country? cuz i think in Canada to get married legally dont you have to be above 18?

Yes in Canada you have to be 18 to be legally married!

Thanx much wasme. Actually its been more than 2 months since my medical and i have not heard anything back from them, so it was thinking that if they were legally bound to reply, I might hear from them in the coming days
