Bro i got the same Objection that Humaumair received and we got the objections at the same time .... I replied with the all the proofs and today my wife received a call that CHC-ISB is sending her remedical request .... I was in Pakistan for almost 18 months ( 11 months before marriage and 7 months after marriage ) .... its not obligatory to live in Canada ... we can live anywhere in the world but when they are going to finalize the case they ask us for our intent to return to Canada ... So if a person has rental lease / mortgage pprs with his name , a job or any proof they are sufficient to prove their intent ... I even heard that even support letters from parents and relatives are good enough to prove CHC-ISB ....So its just speculation or myths that one should not live outside canada more than 6 months and one should not contact CHC-isb otherwise they will pissed off .... I contacted them 10-12 times and i got the response 2nd day all the time ....and they never pissed off or messed up .... so being cautious is one thing but THIS IS NOT THE LAW !!! .... and about the interview of humaumair`s husband , well their could be another reason because they never interview the person being sponsored for these residency issues .

So you also got an objection letter? what did it say? if you dont mind telling me, im so upset i wasent expecting for this to happen...
Are you saying if i have a job, a mortgage, or rental lease i dont have to return? and if i dont its best i do return? please let me knnow thank youuuuu!

My wife got the objection letter alongwith the request for Updated PCC and IMM5406 , schedule 1 and supplem. form in April 2011 . The Objection letter stated to provide proof of residency in Canada , If you are residing in Canada or intent of return to Canada if u are living abroad . I returned to Canada 9 months back because i thought that the case is going to be finalize soon and I had to rent an apartment . So i send them all the proofs like lease agreement , letter from emplyer . credit cards and phone bills , support letter from relatives etc and today they called my wife about the remedical request . If u have just applied for ur husband`s sponsorship then its not a problem ... u can live with him for a goood one year because before that they are not going to open your file ... so after 1 year of ur process its better u return to canada and start arranging for your proofs of residence like phone , credit card bills etc and send copies of all that proofs to CHC-ISB voluntarily . I mean if u r already living in Canada at the time of objection then why on earth are they going to prove you wrong .

I want to share something ....my wife applied for our daughters passport and citizenship from pakistan in march and she recieved a call yesterday after enquiring that she ll get her passport by next week .... and today my wife got another call from CHC-ISB and the lady was telling my wife about the application process for citizenship n passport for our daughter but when my wife told her that we have applied and we are gonna get it soon then she said thats great and that they are sending her remedical request for my wife so that she ll get her visa and travel together .

Hi Doctorkhan,

Did you apply for an urgent passport for your daughter? Normally it takes around 19 months for the citizenship application to complete and then we can apply for the passport. I'm pretty much in the same boat; I applied for my daughter's citizenship in Dec '10, but there hasn't been a response from them other than the file number. Please advise.

Well you can apply for the Limited Validity Passport along with your Canadian Citizenship Application .... It will take more than a year to get Canadian Citizenship but it takes only 8 weeks to get a limited Validity Passport , its valid only for a year and it can be used in case of urgent travel ... U dont have to wait for the Canadian Citizenship Certificate to apply for the limited validity passport . After how many months did u get the file number for the citizenship application ?? I applied in march , i didnt get the file number for the citizenship application yet but i do knw the file number for passport application and they will issue us her passport next week insha Allah ( they called and informed us about that ) . So basically this limited Validity Passport is kinda Temporary Passport , We can apply for her normal passport once we ll get her citizenship ceritficate but until she can travel on that Limited Validity Passport .
