Hey salaam everyone I want to know is this a generic email to everybody who makes an inquiry because I emailed them last week and got this response.

And one 2 ka 4 brother if you are saying that the ppr comes after medicals received then what about my wifes case she did her remedical in the beginning of august 2010 and its been 3months so its past the 4-6weeks timeline and i got this email response last week so i know it means i have to wait my turn what do you think is the delay then. thanks

Dear Client,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is currently in process and is in queue to be reviewed.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Regards,

I think it is a generic email they are sending to everyone because my MP said background checks are going on but in this email, it says that background checks are yet to happen. S

After they send you a letter or a request for something, they put a "Bring Forward Date" (BFD) on the file for next review so until that date your file will not open. However, they do open your files to put extra supporting documents that were requested or update the medical results or whatever they requested. They will update the file but until the BFD comes they won't review the file. And if they find more discrepancies or they don't have what they requested yet another letter is sent to the client and another BFD is put on the file. Thats just how the embassy works. There is no 4 - 6 weeks thing for PPR after remedial , your file will not open until the next BFD.

Its 100% true things depend upon your BFD. If your file is complete by now but BFD is in Dec than you will have to wait for Dec to come.

So they don't give you the medical certificate like they do the first time?

I did at lahore... Well if you have phone number of Dr. Zafar, you can call and ask for the status... Success!

here's the response i got from CHC-I - it's a bit different from what was post in the last two pages. At least it doesn't say that my file is in queue for review. so does this mean they are looking at the file as we speak?

Dear Client,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is currently in process. No further action is required by you at this time.

Delhi don't sent any medical results to Islamabad. Delhi is a regional headquarters to keep all the medical results for Canadian Immigration purposes. Delhi only put the confirmation of medical result received against your file number/Client number with a result equals to pass/fail.
Immigration Officer look up in to the computer for your results.

My wife called the embassy and the personnel told her that they are currently processing October 2010 cases -- They also mentioned to her that the background checks are all done and should be getting something in the mail in the next 10 - 15 days.

You mean October 2009

Nope 2010 cases --- February cases have already been processed and she also mentioned that whatever is listed in your AOR will be the time they aim for + 3 mths if necessary so it could take between 9 - 12 months... Furthermore the reason it takes 16 months is due to incomplete documents or extra documents (if required) -- currently all cases for September 2010 onwards is taking 12 mths on average...

Also to provide specific information about your cases you need to mention every single detail about yourself and spouse otherwise they usually send a generic email
