In Sha Allah & Ameen

MP's do not know more than we do, I have learn to know this in the past 3 years.

I asked my visa officer if our background checks were to be conducted again and she told me NO your case is completed.

Now, what is left is to stamp the passport and send it back to my husband.

I am more than sure that nothing is pending on our file. If it was the case the visa officer would have told me when we were talking on the phone.

She was pretty straight forward about what was left to do on our file and I take her word because she is the one handling our file.

Maybe because of the holidays or perhaps she took a Christmas vacation that our passport is delayed.

Just taking a guess....

I hope and pray that by the grace of ALLAH SWT my husband gets his passport this week AMEEEEEN and IN SHA ALLAH!

I agree!

I think your visa officer or whoever is currently handling your file is either being lazy, has been distracted by some personal engagement, or is simply overwhelmed with the amount of work that needs to be done.

I can't think of any other reason.

A friend of mine applied in June 2010, had his interview in December 2012, and I believe he submitted his passport right there..... And he is now waiting like you and Zia bhai.

Hello,

As of right now they will ask you to update your Police Clearance and bring the passport with you. After the interview is passed they will retain the passport and then you will get medical request in the mail of which then you can complete.

IF you've already completed medical and it hasn't expired yet then they will retain your passport and will mail it back with the Visa stamp in it. I don't think they will issue the Visa on the spot.

They will ask how you and your spouse met, how long after did you marry, dates of wedding, if it was nikkah only, if no Ruksati then they will ask why? They will ask how often you have visited alongside proof of visit (boarding pass, e-ticket, passport stamps, etc)

Be sure to bring as much proof you have of your relationship (phone bills, emails, txt messages, birthday, anniversary, valentines day cards, receipts of gifts you've sent, pictures of different stages of your relationship from the time you met, married and after marriage with you and your spouse AND with you, your spouse and your relatives)

There are several sites online that give you sample interview questions ... you can view this site to help you get started: http://immlawyer.blogs.com/my_weblog/2006/10/spousal_intervi.html

Hope this helps and pray all goes well.

Good luck!
