I talked to my MP today and he told me that once you've completed the Interview and passed and if they kept the passport it could still take a little while before you receive it back ... mainly because they need to perform Background Checks.
I said to MP but i know my husbands background check is completed already and he said CHC doesn't tell but background checks also expire just like medicals, Police clearance, etc..only there's nothing for us to do on our side ... it's something that they have to complete on their end. Once complete they will issue the Passport Back.
Just thought i would share with you because i know you're anxiously waiting.

MP's do not know more than we do, I have learn to know this in the past 3 years.
I asked my visa officer if our background checks were to be conducted again and she told me NO your case is completed.
Now, what is left is to stamp the passport and send it back to my husband.
I am more than sure that nothing is pending on our file. If it was the case the visa officer would have told me when we were talking on the phone.
She was pretty straight forward about what was left to do on our file and I take her word because she is the one handling our file.
Maybe because of the holidays or perhaps she took a Christmas vacation that our passport is delayed.
Just taking a guess....
I hope and pray that by the grace of ALLAH SWT my husband gets his passport this week AMEEEEEN and IN SHA ALLAH!
