I know exactly how you feel qamalik. All politicians are the same, when its voting time, they will be begging for votes basically and once in the office, they don't care. They will only care if there is some sort of benefit to them in standing by us. Right now this is not a priority for them and that is why we are being treated like this.
I just read an article on ctv about Harper's visit to India... made me so pissed off. (But I blame our politicians and people for this that we are being treated like this)
Quoting Harper:
He joked later that Canada and India relations were like a Bollywood movie.
"Two young people meet," he said to laughter. "They know they're meant for each other, but they have obstacles to overcome.
"And, before the viewer loses interest, they do, in fact, overcome those obstacles and the happy ending ensues."
While all these morons are giggling and joking about country relationships... they have zero value for our relationships!
They don't care how this is affecting us, what this torture is doing to us. They don't care about our happy ending!
