Hello! I just submitted my HCCP application

Question: is there a possibility of refusal if the salary offered is only $15/hr. Located in Alberta

Or will this be okay? I’m anxious about this I didn’t check

So what did you include for family members? Did you read the link?

I think I choose the wrong catergory and use it to submit, I should have pick Economic category. I just tried again to do the right application category and it let me submitted. lets see and wait.

Don’t spam site with same question. If it is the median wage for you region, then it is okay.

The HCCP closed a while ago, so all you can do is wait.

I posted same question on different thread not here bcos I’m not sure which thread is more active.

i just checked and median is $18 for my area so I guess I might get a refusal

Hello, please I have a question I submitted pr and work permit fee on one payment. I uploaded only me receipt for everything would that be grounds to return my application?

The application says "must" submit separate fees...., probably for the application will be considered as overpayment and for work permit you won't have a fee... but be positive and leave everything in God hands now.

Hey the sites says "
  • full time, which means at least 30 hours of paid work each week
" nothing is mentioned about the wage. and if you are apply under gaining experience it doesn't really matter at this point. since if you get the open work permit you can start accumulating work experience with the employer that pay you that.

The job offer salary must meet the prevailing wage for the region. It is in the assessment criteria. Nothing to do with being on an open work permit.

I m having the same problem wrong category selected plz let me know how can we correct it after submitting an application.
What did you apply for? HCCP gaining experience is closed so you cannot correct. You needed to apply to the right program. It is based on quotas so closes when it meets it. As per the site,
If the cap has been reached when you want to apply
You won’t be able to start an application for this category in the portal. If you started an application before we reached the cap

  • you won’t be able to submit it
  • it will expire after approximately 30 days

I did the same. I’d be surprised if that would be an issue. At worst, they could ask to submit the fees again and claim refund for earlier receipt. But again very unlikely.

Someone did the same and received AOR last year. In this case, It’s better to include print out of fee portal showing separate fee amounts which I did.
