Ok first take a deep breath and breath. Next, this is gonna be a hell of a roller coaster ride, so you will need to try and keep calm and do your best.

Ok, the marriage certificate, police clearance record and key el 3aila can be translated from (wezarat el adel), the misitry of justice and they are notarized there. The birth certificate will have to be translated from the ministry of health9. I did ours in Cairo so i don't know about Alex. Before translation, get them stamped from the (wizara el kharagiya). Anything else needed extra can be translated at any certified office. I used Happy international translation in Cairo, it is near (wizard el adl) and they are very fast. Same day translation and approved by the canadian embassy their number is 02-27959947, but I'm sure you can find in Alex if you look.

As for the medical, i would suggest doing it the very last thing and send it with the application, because it will cause a delay if they ask you for it later. and the medical is good for 1 year from the date of issue.

good luck it is a long wait, but inshallah if your application is complete and there are no request for more documents then it won't be to long
Salam

Really, I can't handle anymore !
I sent Cairo office yesterday an email , to understand my situation
i don't know what is the limit for background check !

Hi there,

I am a Canadian citizen living in Cairo and I am gathering all the required documents to sponsor my Egyptian husband. I am currently stuck in providing an "Option-C Print-Out" in the sponsor document checklist as I have been living in Cairo for the past 8 years and currently employed for about 5 years now. What other documents do I need to replace the Option-C document? If anybody could help, I will be grateful. Thanks.

Sorry, but I have another question as well. I will be visiting Nova Scotia in a month or so. Will I be able to mail in the documents from there?

Hi Nina884,

Because you have not been living in Canada for the last 8 years you will have to write a plan of your intention to return to Canada and how you will support youself and your husband. You will also need to get letters from family if they are planning to help you (like a place to live and financial support until you find work) and any offers of employment you may have.

Thanks all for your reply.

My husband applied for a TRV about 10 days ago and we are still waiting for the VAC to get back to us. Is there any chance that he might get rejected? as there is a rumor going around saying that almost 90% of Egyptians are getting rejected now. We are planning on a family vacation in a month.
