I'm not from Egypt and so it hasn't been fast at all, they started the security check in end of October and it's still not done and they don't tell you when it will be done. But i'm hopeful that they will request the passport soon, inshallah.

how do you know , when they started it ? by GSMS note ?

They informed my MP when he called to inquire about our file in october.

My wife's MP called her today, she told her that everything is well, the visa pending security check
so may you need recall us ( MP ) in couple months !!
and she told her also that the whole processing time its take up to 19 months !!

I don't know why she said that, probably the Cairo said we have nothing now to tell you about ! we are still waiting the clearance !!

I agree with you, because our MP inquired for us again in January of this year and she informed me the same thing: that it is still under secruity clearance, and that this is done by an outside agency so they don't know when it will be completed. and every time they inform me that the processing time is 19 month and that everything is still within normal processing time (so frustrating! but it's not in our hands at this point, just keep praying!)

It's good that everything is well and dont worry about the MP saying the 19 month timeline. They always say this. My MP told me the same thing. Usually people from Gaza and Sudan processed faster than Egyptians.

My husband just messaged me from the Embassy. He has his passport with a shiny new visa in it and his COPR papers!!! Alhamdulillah it truly is over....we didn't want to believe it until we seen the visa.

We hope he will arrive by the end of February. He has some work things to finish up and will book his flight this weekend

We are soooooooo happy

We had our medical extended until August of 2014. CIC requested an extension without our knowledge. We found out through our GMCS notes
Hubby's visa is valid until August of 2014 when his medical expires

My med exam will expire in May 2014, so i wish they can extend it at least for 6 months
because i think i will not get the visa before March, and i cant make my trip this days !!

I have a question pls.should i put the cic email on my email to avoid recieving it in a junk email.i didnt recieve any mail from them till now i am the sponsored my sponsor already recieved SA email on 16/12 till now i didnt hear from Cairo vo .
if you agree with me what is their email and which email CICor THE CANidian embassy in cairo does anyone know it?

He mesages u from the embassy??! Does that mean he went to pick it up himself instead of send dhl? Also u said he has to have it picked up in 3 bussiness days but he got it back in 2? Can u tell me how so my husband can do same please.

They wont email u until they are ready to ask for your passport. Just incase this is their email CAIROIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca
However there is a different email for you to email them your enquirys if u have any questions on the visa office in egypt website and u will only need to add their email if u send them one first so when they reply it wont go to junk.
