Mine was received in june 16 and wasnt startes in process til oct 29.2013

It means 4 months to start in it.great all we need is patience,but you didnt tell me do they request anthing from you from 16 june till oct?and do you recieve AOR for the sponsored from Cairo vo ?and from where did u know that the interview is waived?

To whos knowing about my situation


Here is
Iam under family class sposorship ,, i did medical and paid ROPR after one year from sending the police certificate and copy of passports and other docs requires .
And in 8/2013 we sent travel history and declartion background. And in 28/1/2014 they required anew police certificate to cairo office .
Can any one tell me my situation and there is possible to get avisa in summer .?

Hi Markopolo,

Only the Embassy knows if you will be finished by summer.
Usually when they request new police certificates they are getting closer to a decision. The police certificates are only good for one year.
We received our passport request about one month after submitting our new police certificates.

oh wow, it's too bad that it's even slow after the passport is requested, but hang in there atleast you guys know you are at the final stages. We received our notes for this month and our secruity check is still in progress (it's been that way since october). Does anyone know if the due dates on these notes mean anything? We have two due dates in Feb. and I wonder if they mean that we will hear form them by then.

Not sure what the due dates mean on the notes. I do know from communication with the Immigration Minister that the security and background check are the longest part of the process. They apparently source this work out and have "no control" over the length of time they take.
Once our checks were done everything went very fast. Passport request within 6 weeks of completion for us.

No they did not request anything from me during that time . After my application was in process i emailed them asking about my husbands medicals and their response was they were ready to issue visa once the rprf is paid. So we paid it and just less than 2 months later they requested his passport. The interview was waived because they never asked for one they just asked for his passport to issue visa thats how you know the interview got waived. I never recieved AOR from the VO i just saw on e-cas when they recieved the medicals, the application and when processing began.

So we paid it and just less than 2 months later they requested his passport. Do not wait for them to ask you for it. You should pay it as soon as possible as it could delay your application another month or two. You can pay it whenever u want u dont have to wait for them to ask. I paid mine in the beginning of december. They didnt even request it from me they only replied to me that they will issue his visa once its paid when i was enquiring about his medicals. I was just asking them what happens if a decision is not made before his medical report expires. I wasnt sure if he would have to do them again or if they would extend it. And their only response was " we will be ready to issue his visa once we recieve confirmation from cic that the rfpr is paid" mind you we submitted a very complete package with meds and police reports all at the same time. Lots of honeymoon and wedding photos so im very sure that helped in a speedy decision. Applications usually take much longer when there is information missing, in complete applications or lack of evidence.

Thank you sabrinkh for your advice i hope that ours be smoothly and fast like yours we sent a lot of pictures but i think that our case is different we are living together in cairo with our boys for 10 years this about our relation and we sent the police report and meds .
Pray for us i hope to enroll our boys in a canadian schools the next year.

Congratulations!! May you share with me the day the embasy receied your passport? How long exactly did they have it? I remember you saying your huband was coming to egypt to mail it from there so i assume it wasnt delivered the same day it was requested? I am in egypt with my husband and i want to fly back to canada with him. They have his passport as of yesterday so i just want to estimate approxmiately how long it could take to get it back so we can book our flights!
