Hi Adam, Each application is different so it will depend on your circumstances. Check CIC's page for current processing times. I sponsored my husband from Cairo and it took about 1.5 years, but this was during the time the visa officers where on strike and things moved very slow. Good luck!

Hi Nina884, My husband applied twice for TRV. Once in 2011 before we filed for his PR and once in 2012 after we filed his PR. He was refused both times. TRV's are most likely to be refused as they think the applicant will remain in Canada. Sorry I dont have happier news. I hope you have better luck
