BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

When i asked them for all the documents to add my spouse , I wasnt aware that i had to Tell my province abt me getting married and now they want me to provide an evidence that i have notified my province abt me getting married and that my spouse would be coming with me .
I have sent all the paperwork to the province , Would u know or anyone know how long it takes for the proinvce o send me another letter now?

I dont know anyone but you can ask around this thread.. Once you have notified the province then what is required? Another nomination certificate? I am unsure but you should give your provincial nominee program office a call and talk to them about it. Ask them what are the next steps that can be taken and an acknowledgement of you notifying this change.

I am a pnp secondary applicant while my husband is the main applicant. Does anyone know whether I am eligible to apply for open work permit as a "pnp applicant" or not? (My husband is not working right now so I can't apply depending on his job contract or employment confirmation letter).

can we do our port of entry from any border?
I live in alberta but want to do my port of entry in Ontario.
Since, i will be in Toronto visiting family

you can do that, but i recommend to have an address in alberta to show, to proof your final destination.

Maybe this is new in CPP-O. When I got married last year, I wrote to the Nominating office in my province. They ask me to send my spouse's info to cic(then at Buffalo) directly. I did not get another nominating certificate.

Then based on this permit you can apply for dependent of foreign student, i did it for my wife. Spouses of foreign students are eligible for work permits. To be sure speak with CIC representative, they will let you know if you are eligible.

Thanks for bringing that up ..The same happened in my case..I got married right after getting my AOR. At that time i spoke to both the province and Buffalo. The province said we should send Buffalo a request to add her up .which i did and a few months later Buffalo sent me her medical request.They never asked us for a wife's PNP certificate or anything.This seems to be something new they have brought in to avoid processing applications for spouse/child of a PNP nominated applicant.. :

I talked to my MP, and she said that CIC is showing "extra love" for Iranians about their background check, so I guess you should be patient (and all other fellow Iranians).

I know some fellow Iranians that received a PPR just after 14 months of submitting their applications to Buffalo (QSW). Perhaps I have been picked for extra screening; But Neither CIC nor my MP has told me that I am begin delayed due to my BG checks. btw, welcome to the forum McMont!

This is in response to your email (see below). Your file has been transferred to this office for processing. It will be actively reviewed in the next several weeks. As your medical results have expired, we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results. An officer will be reviewing your file and will be in contact with you regarding any outstanding requirements. I appreciate being advised of your concerns.

Thats the difference here.. she is looking for an open permit based on her husbands work permit. I dont think that quite works. You should clarify with CIC
