No, they ask for second medical from whoever they want to delay their process. I am in Canada and yet they asked me to redo the medical.

Hi, I received an email from Ottawa on Friday, they asked us to re-do our medical exam. Also our Ecas now indicates "in process" after 17 months of saying "application has been recieved". Do you think that they gonna ask for Police certificate and other documents in future?

I saw in this forum that someone had a same situation as yours, and he sent an email to CIC and said that he never left the country and they canceled their request. Try it, I hope it'll work for you too. Would you please tell under which category you've applied?

Hi Today I received my GCMS note, they've done absolutely nothing on my case. In front of medical it says passed, expired . I guess it means that they are going to ask me to redo medical and PC. >:(

@syed_h_sha The information is insufficient. But I think with the exception of PC, they mean you can e-mail all documents except Police Certificate which has to be send via mail.

Do you think it will be enough if I email them a scan of my passport?

Yes my case is different, and also my visitor visa will expire soon. I think it's better to play safe and renew my visitor status for now and have hope to receive PR soon.
