hmm did you renewed your passport during the course of your PR application? I wonder why they ask for Passport Copies, anyway not to worry looks like good news - you should be getting PR very soon.

Thanks , yes since my passport expired during the process I guess that's why they asked new copies.I hope my data will be useful specially for people that got married during the process and all of us who have been waiting so long.I hope we all get our prs soon.

did they requested old passport or renewed passport copy?
If you had renewed the passport you are suppose to send them the copies as soon as you renewed..

When dealing with CIC its often good idea to be pro-active, send the documents which you doubt CIC will ask for in future - that will save you being pushed in queues again and again.

Should be fine because website says only PC has to be sent via mail as original copy.

Guys my ecas is still not working, I applied in Feb 2011, so I should receive a news before the end of February, hopefully it is something positive. 3 of my friends who applied at the same time as me, got their PPR the last 2 weeks, and now I am waiting alone. Hopefully the Ottawa office will keep its promise and give us some news in Feb because i have been waiting for 2 years


also I order GCMS notes in december and I saw that everything was passed and medical was extended until august 2013, so hopefully they don't ask me for anything new. I can't wait for another 3-4 month, i'll become depressed and in need of a psychologist.

I think this is good news you will get an update very soon. The only thing that keeps me going is that many ppl are in the same boat as I am so keep it together buddy you will make it through this difficult time.

Do not wait and send them the update passport by fax or e-mail and request case update in the same mail.

that is your responsibility to update CIC on any changes....

I don't usually check my ecas because past 13 months there hadn't been changed.but many of you had a problem with logging in.so I did check my ecas then it changed to in process from app received also says "we start processing your application on Jan 25 2013.Hopefully,this is a good move.

2. update passport ( I sent this twice so far once by e-mail and another one by fax )

· Updated details of your personal history since May 2011. Start with the most recent information, indicate your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (ie. Unemployed, studying, traveling, etc). Please include city/town or country and the name of the institution/company.


With the exception of Police Certificates, please submit the requested documents as scanned attachments and send to the following e-mail address: ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

can some one confirm for updating personal history is there any form available?
and I guess they are not requesting for Police certificate as they say exception.

I visited Indian for one month..do I have to inform that in the history ??

The information is insufficient. But I think with the exception of PC, they mean you can e-mail all documents except Police Certificate which has to be send via mail.
