BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

I had a question.

Have you guys already paid the landing fee along with your application fees?
I have not paid it yet, and I was wondering if this has anything to do with the process.

Hey guys just want to let everyone give me some suggestions. After my open work permit expired I renewed it, then got a closed one. Few days ago I tried to apply a job which is from a very famous company. I didn't expect anything but I got it! Then for apply the new work permit, I need LMO issued by the new company. Btw I already have the job offer. Don't know if they will issue it for me I really don't want to miss this opportunity. I hate my current company so much

I applied PR on Apr 18, 2011 and medical is done in October, 2011. Haven't heard anything since that. Don't even know where my file is transsferred to. I applied CGMS note but haven't received it.

I think if you apply and then go to the border to finalize it, you will have the option they take your previous work permit and give you the new one.

Though, It is just what I have heard, and I am not really sure.

I have only applied for an open work permit once, and It was easy getting it based on my case.
I would recommend you to make a call to CIC, and They have clear asnwers on this type of questions. (it is not like the PR case)

If you are QSW worker categoty you do not need an LMO for work permit..just need a job offer and CSQ certificate.

check on webistes for details...

if you are not a QSW i guess you need to get LMO from your new employer...just send a mail to HR that you need LMO to accept the offer...

My E-CAS is updated from 'Application Received' to 'In process' today.. That's a good sign I guess..

Good for you . You are a Sydney NS applicant, I hope it should be quick for you. In this thread most of the applicants are from 2011 pre September. Before we were looking forward to have the 2011 transfer cases processing to start in Ottawa. We have seen 3 cases, now waiting to see any sign on July 7 transfer cases processing.

My application was received on Jan 24th, 2012 at NS office.

Medicals were requested in the middle of March and in my AOR it was mentioned that my case was being sent to RPC Buffalo at that time (that's why I say that I am a transferred case).

I did my medicals on March 19th and sent them to Ottawa. Medicals were received on April 20th (as per e-CAS)

And!! today my E-CAS states that they started to work on my case from September, 7th..

Let's see how things move further..
