If you are QSW worker categoty you do not need an LMO for work permit..just need a job offer and CSQ certificate.

check on webistes for details...

if you are not a QSW i guess you need to get LMO from your new employer...just send a mail to HR that you need LMO to accept the offer...

good luck
Syed

Thank you Syed. Im not QSW. I have another concern. The work permit renew for new emplooyer is taking 39 days right now, but
which company will wait for you that long, right? What do I do if I haven't received my renewed WP by my starting date?

Hi Sharuu,

My application was received on Jan 24th, 2012 at NS office.

Medicals were requested in the middle of March and in my AOR it was mentioned that my case was being sent to RPC Buffalo at that time (that's why I say that I am a transferred case).

I did my medicals on March 19th and sent them to Ottawa. Medicals were received on April 20th (as per e-CAS)

And!! today my E-CAS states that they started to work on my case from September, 7th..

Let's see how things move further..

Shouldnt take longer than 2 months..

If you belong to a visa exempt country, you can get one at the border

Didnt your PNP Certificate was based on your current employer? I think we are not allowed to change the employer until we get PR!

Hi Sharuu,
Do they mention the position and employer name in the certificate? Thanks

If you applied through your employer sponsoring you, then it should. When you apply based on your employer, that is the reason we get a closed work permit tied to your current employer.

earlier it used to take 6 months to renew WP. now it is reduced to 39 days. all these factors needs to discuss with your new employer before accepting offer.

I suggest to wait for you PR and then change the job. I guess by next year mid all cases should be cleared as there are no new applications are accepting right now..

This is the PNP section, so when you say every case should be cleared by next year, I dont think it refers to PNP Applicants.

I think either it is PNP or QSW or FSW..all needs to be processed by Federal. they wanted to clean up all the old applications.
as PNP is priority one they may get cleared soon. that is reason for the temporary pause.

if I am correct. Ottawa is in process of screening and sending all applications to different VO's. I may be wrong..

When I applied for PNP certificate, I have mentioned my Job (it was one of the requirement, not mandatory). I don't see any employment information in my PNP certificate. I have an open work permit. So for close work permit they mention the employment in the certificate?

where does it says PNP section ? thread name is "BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down"

am I looking at wrong place?
