If you are a 2011 applicant, I would doubt that. The timeline is an estimate which says how long 80% of the cases took, if you are referring to Buffalo's timeline that. It is just an estimate and nothing more or less. I have been waiting for more than 18 months.

pls note Sharuu's response. 2011 applicants processing time are off the hook, and unpredictable.

I got my GCMS today. My criminality is done for security it says not started. My file was transferred on July 7, I knew that already through my MP.

Applied on : March 18th, 2011
Embassy:buffalo
Medical: 21st, sep 2011
File transferred to new york: May 18th, 2012
Still counting days for passport request.

I was wondering anyone here whose file was transferred to new york due to buffalo closer in April-may 2012.It is just getting rediculouse people who applied in 2012 are getting passport request.

I think when a VO reviews the file, then only the Seconday VO becomes Detroit. Another way to see is if ECAS goes to In Process.

When the file leaves Buffalo, Primary office is made to be Ottawa and Secondary is Buffalo. Once the file gets reviewed in Ottawa, secondary changes to Detroit as thats where the file is headed. Once PPR is issued, Primary is Detroit and Secondary would be where the file will be permanently placed once file is complete.

You can evaluate your case based on Secondary VO. Looking at your case, file hasnt been reviewed yet at Ottawa.

Criminality was done Sep 28 2011 and due date 28 sep 2012... Coincidince? No, apart from medical, criminality - it also is valid for 1 year, thats why. Buffalo gave a due date 1 year from when the file was created to put in under due date. It doesnt mean much to be quite honest.

Unless a VO doesnt review your case in Ottawa and assign a due date, you shouldnt really look much into it.
