Hi guys,
how long does it take for the MP to get back to you with status update? is it also 1 month similar to the GCMS time?

Its about two weeks I have sent an e-mail and haven't heard anything yet. In some cases I have seen it took them one week. The response time depends on Ottawa.

Has anyone received any updates from Ottawa on month of june/july/august 2012 after VO at Buffalo is closed? has the movement/process actually slowed the application processing time? Any updates/opinions??

Question, in the visa office file location, what should I put. Buffalo or Ottawa. I applied to buffalo bu I think my file never left ottawa once it was sent to them by buffalo for medical and security checks.

I have sent a request for GCMS today

Can anyone tell me the process after a decision is made. I assume it is called passport request or PPR. So, how long it takes after you send the passport and you get it back with the PR/visa. I need this info so i can plan my trip back home.

Average times for getting the passport/visa back is anywhere between 15 days to 1 month.

Also, can I amend my file after I receive a PPR. Like adding my wife in my application. Plz help.

Usually you get 30 days to send the passport and received by CIC.

Pls refer to page 82 in this thread where "dothk" attached his PPR e-mail. In that e-mail CIC mentioned what to do when you intend to get married before becoming a permanent resident.

I got my GCMS note this morning. Nothing special though. It showed my file transferred on 7 July 2012. other than its almost same as last time. Medical passed, criminality in progress, security not started and eligibility not started. Still showing due date Sept 15 2012. Hopefully get my PPR before that day.
