hi Sharuu, I did them in advance because I didnt know if I would be in Canada at the time of AOR and medical. nature of my job requires traveling.

i thought maybe 1 year would be enough for processing....hope is still alive but I think its just a false one. :-X

your medicals are also expiring in september? and your file is in process since may, right....pretty similar to me although i am not a buffalo ransferre (at least i think so)

Be optimistic :) Our time will come soon! I will try to get a GCMS this month as I am hoping by now they would have reviewed my file. Its been 2 months since the file got transferred!

that means your visa is stamped. 8)

Yep .. Visa just got stamped! Congrats, you should hopefully have the passport within 1-2 weeks. Start tracking the return envelope and when it becomes active!

hi Sharuu

do you know what triggered your application to go in Process in May? from your previous GCMS notes, what do you think happened on that date....did your eligibility pass?

i know your transfer happened on 7th July but Buffalo put you in process..

please share your thoughts

May 3rd all my checks were completed and eligibility was passed, and 11 days later it resulted in IN PROCESS. If my file would have remained in Buffalo, I would have gotten PPR in May itself.

My file reached July 7th, 3 months is more than enough to expect something so I was hoping for so I think Oct 7th is a good timeline when I could expect something!

yeah wish you best of luck Sharuu.....

;D

guys do you think they throttle the PR's from each nationalities? I think they do have limit from each country per year....if the number of applicants > number of slots then even though checks are complete, PR is kept on hold. Just thinking out loud here....

Quota system by nationalities - probably not by province I think Yes!!

Hi.
I have been following posts here for a while, and I thought maybe its better to join you.
Like most of people around the corner, I had PR application submitted to Buffalo VO in Apr 2011.
Me and My spouse are currently in Montreal on Study permits.
We did the medicals in Sept 2011. and since then, No news at all.

All correspondences are auto-replied and Ecas in only showing Application Received. though yesterday minor changes happened and a mailing address box was added next to home address box.

While I am a bit disappointed, I have tried to focus on life rather than the process. I have not taken any notes yet, maybe I request one next week.

but I hope all of you get some good news pretty soon.

Make yourselves happy with a cup of coffee and a nice book. :)

:)

see you around the corner and maybe one day in Canada (in case u are not)...

Hello Guys !!!

I am Quebec selected skilled worker
My timeline is
Nov 16,2011-Application Filed
March 18,2012 -AOR and medical request.
March 23, 2012- Medical.
In April Status changed to Medical Received.

On June 11, 2012 Status changed to PR.
Nothing after that.

My question to you guys is that I want to contact my local MP for requesting updates on my file.
even though I have not crossed the processing times for this class of immigrants.

I know who is my local MP. Should I visit the office or contact through email or phone?

I want to ask whether when was my file transferred to Ottawa?

What is the due date on my file?

I updated the mailing address by giving CIC a call. They also told me
to contact your visa office to update the mailing address but no response
was sent from buffalo office at that time . This was way back in April I think.
Now I contacted Ottawa but no response yet.

The website does not give the processing times for Ottawa?
And what from what date the processing time begins the day of the transfer or they
see when was the application was filed?

Any other info should I ask that would help me in predicting the date for PPR?

Waiting for ur reply guys!!!!

You can get all the answers you have asked from GCMS notes (pls refer to page 16 in this thread) except predicting the date of PPR.

Due date is the next bring forward date when the VO will look into your file.

So far there is no processing time listed for Ottawa. If you go to the link of VO processing times, at the beginning it says these are the timelines for processing 80% cases. Ottawa VO is still a child and haven't got even a year (I guess) to put itself into the list.

I am not sure how Ottawa based on what flag will put the files into the queue to process.

PPR is unpredictable. But you have applied in Nov 16, 2011. Just seeing the trend I think somehow you will get it comparatively earlier.
