BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

IF U GUYS have applied for BOWP and during which time ur current Status expires, u are on implied status.

Due to nature of variation in processing - pl apply 1.5-2 months in advance -

I guess u guys were lucky ;D The call center agent checked my application and said it was not processed yet, and that they were still processing apps from June 6...

Did you apply online or paper? Paper one takes longer.

i applied on line for BOWP on 9 June.today i called call centre they told me also that mine is not processed yet.please keep in touch.

If we select the option for extend with same employer when filling the forms does it mean it is as good as closed permit? Also does the permit comes with condition like allowed to work for only the employee which is mentioned in the forms
.Any inputs would be very helpful

It's an open permit - so don't give ANY details of employment or continuing employment. Write N/A in those parts of the form and leave it as just open permit. If you fail to do this it could confuse the agent and lead to the application being denied.

I have submitted my application for Permanent Residency (PR) under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) which was received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on xxxx. This met the criteria that I had just passed 12 months of employment in Canada.

At the date of this online application for the BOWP, I have not yet received the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). I anticipate this will be received around the end of May or shortly thereafter.

Therefore I kindly ask that at the time of processing my application for the BOWP, that you check my CEC application status and AOR under my Client ID number xxxx-xxxx or contact me to request a copy of the AOR.

I am seeking a BOWP however, I am currently employed by the xxxx on a contract until xxxx, subject to receiving a work permit past xxxx. I have attached to this file the letter of offer and current reference that was used for my PR application.

I appreciate your consideration and thank you for your efforts.

Well my work permit expires August the 14th so I just sent off my BOWP app by mail. With a photocopy of the same stat dec of common law I sent with my Nov 12 PR app. Let's hope it gets through.

If my PR is rejected, do I have to leave immediately or will my BOWP give me some time?

Applied on June 17th. My closed work permit wasn't up until Oct 2014 but I was let go from that work place (lack of work) in May 2013 (and original contract was actually only until October 2013). I explained all this in explanation letter. I just called the call centre, and they just confirmed that my BWOP was approved July 15th .

Congrats Now i'm starting to get anxious. I called again on July 14th and Call center agent still told me that they're processing applications from June 6th...
