Thanks for sharing the link, I find the charts very informative, and actually I look at it in a positive way, I know the forum friends are only a portion of the actual number of applicants, but it seems the Embassy is processing files faster.
And the earliest visa issued from Beirut that I could track down based on the postings of people on the online forums dates back to May 2012, so if the data in the forms is up till June 2012, and assuming they started issuing visas around April or March, then the number 127 (processed) isn't that bad!

Elias, one more thing, when did you get an email to renew medical or/and submit a Residency Questionnaire, if you don't mind me asking?

My wife received an email on Sep 7 requesting the following:

- New medical exam
- Residency Questionnaire
- Supplementary Information
- New Police Certificate
- 490$ permanent residence fees

Her application is for Quebec.

October 4th My Wife received her VISA finally after 18 months. wish all of you guys to finish soon.
they ask for the document on 12 sep we submit them september 18th they called her october 3rd to submit her passport she received back her passport next day october 4th,

hello guys

my family application for the PR was received in may.30.2011 by the canadian embassy in syria,
after the clossure the file has been transfered to amman in Jan 2012, as my family cant travel to amman for the interview, i have requested the file to be transfered to beirut, that was in may.
i got a note later in july that the file will be transfered from amman to beirut in mid of august.
end of august i did check through lebanon if they got the file and if they started with the processing, the answer came in sep.18.2012 says (we got the information and the file is in queue to go in to the officer), but nothing after.

my question is which makes me realy worry is, will they start the whole thing from the begining? the date they received or where the embassy in syria ended? :'(

Hello ALESCO,

As you are aware, all of the files which were at the Embassy in Damascus sustained a delay in time because of the closure, but for the files transferred to Beirut we have noticed it is taking around 17 months as per the processing times posted on the CIC website.

In your case, you have requested the file be transferred from Amman to Beirut in May, and they indeed received it in Beirut, I would say you might have a bit of delay because of the file transfer, but it seems the Beirut Visa Office is working hard to clear the queue, including your file!!

I think they'll pick up where the Amman office stopped, and they won't start the whole process over again!

I meant where Amman stopped; assuming they took a look at the file maybe!

When was your file received by CIC? May 30, 2011 ??
And you are a male sponsoring your family?
Province of residence?
You haven't received a letter to renew medical or to complete a residency questionnaire?
