And yara1999 the RQ i've heard is the easiest thing to fill out just some questions about the sponsor where they live/work--can be done in 5 minutes.

Btw, my husband landed on Friday. Immigration didn't keep him long, his flight landed at 7:15 and was out by 8-8:05 asked simple questions as who u coming to, what address, how much money you bringing with you--and they gave him a bag full of info and a form for him to fill out for his health card. They were very nice, they say welcome to Canada and you are on your way out We had such a great weekend with family and friends and went to the CN tower yesterday. Everyone, this nightmare does come to an end and then it feels sooo good, like it never happened--i am as light as a feather and everyone is in my prayers hope you all feel this! Keep the faith alive, keep positive ))

It is funny Anoushka how we were all desperate for a bit of information, and then everybody got an email, and seriously our minds were taken off misery of the unknown, to at least expecting a new development very soon.
I have visited my wife twice after our wedding and I was going for a third time, and she has been encouraging me up until she got the email to renew medical, now she is like: "don't come anymore, just for when I get the visa, so you take me with you"
I know and I hope it is going to be a memory for all of us soon, and I hope when each one of us gets united with his life partner, we will pass by here and say goodbye and good luck to the ones who are just beginning the trip, because life goes on!

First i wish you be the next one to receive a call to submit your passport because this is what happen today with my wife,they called her and asked her to bring her passport tomorrow between 9:30 and 10:30am,so i'm hoping next week will have her visa.
as for my e-case yeah it's changed after 3 day's from submitting the doc't they ask for it,it change from received to in process,,,and hopefully next week it will change to decision made,,,,

More great News i just left the embassy with my wife we went today to drop her passport and they told her to pick it up tomorrow @ 2:00pm,,,,wish you the same and soon.
as for the medical she did it like 2 1/2 months after the first one expired,and we e-mailed the 1017 form to them,,,thats why they did not ask for it with the other document,
thats why i give my opinion to redo it without waiting for them,,,,because now i'm sure they are waiting for your result to come from paris,and as your dr. said it take 15 days so hope he's right.

More great News i just left the embassy with my wife we went today to drop her passport and they told her to pick it up tomorrow @ 2:00pm,,,,wish you the same and soon.

Some applicants are taking their visas on the same day they give their passport, some are told to come on the next day like in your case, some are told to collect their passport with their visa on Friday like i guess Nairyd, some waited for 56 days and never got it like Janmin, and some will share the same fate like him which is me.

I dropped my passport upon their request on 16 September, and what is better than that is that they called me twice to assure that i should submit my passport and that i should reming my wife to pay the visa fee , ana ma faradit myself on anyone, i asked this guy in the embassy if there is any time or day to pick-up mu passport since they were the ones yalli mista3ijleen but he told me he has no answer and that i should wait.

Now it's been 17 days, w ya mista3jil wa22if ta 2illak.

The number of all permanent residents applications including family class applications processed in Beirut Office during the last 12 months is only 127 cases (122 passed and 5 refused). Add they say they are overloaded :

Maybe they checked your file when you called them and found out they have in fact received your wife's medical results, and that's why they sent you an email 4 days after they got your initial email, and they changed the status to "in process" ?
Strange indeed! I think you should call the Immigration over the phone, when I sent an update to my wife's application (photos, phone bills, boarding passes, etc. ...), I called Immigration and they told me the date the Embassy received the package and they even mentioned to me what kind of documents I sent to them! They can read of our CAIPs info.
Try, nothing to lose
If I may ask: when did you initially submit the application?? and did you get the email to renew medical on Oct 10, 2011?

Thanks for sharing the link, I find the charts very informative, and actually I look at it in a positive way, I know the forum friends are only a portion of the actual number of applicants, but it seems the Embassy is processing files faster.
And the earliest visa issued from Beirut that I could track down based on the postings of people on the online forums dates back to May 2012, so if the data in the forms is up till June 2012, and assuming they started issuing visas around April or March, then the number 127 (processed) isn't that bad!

Elias, one more thing, when did you get an email to renew medical or/and submit a Residency Questionnaire, if you don't mind me asking?
