I am sorry for not replying earlier for some reason I was not receiving notifications!
Emad for me it went the other way around ,I received the golden e-mail so I checked my ecas ,it hadn't changed (same ever since I passed the medicals) then the next day my ecas changed to "Decision Made" and they will contact me : which they already did lol ..bati2in ..
I submitted my passport on March 26th ,and still haven't got it back yet !! seriously if the decision is made how hard can it be to just stamp it already and relieve us..

Hey Ghinak. Thats exactly what happened to my wife as well. She got the passport request letter and submitted her passport March 9. Nothing was updated in ECAS until after we received the letter but then again the next day everything was updated. Its definitely a great feeling getting that letter.

Its been close to 5 weeks now since and we still havent heard back. Ktir bati2in. Nshalla we hear back soon.

Hi Ghinak, happy to see that you are posting here again and so sorry for not getting your passport back yet hopefully very soon, i thank you for the info's that you mentioned, for me i did send the requesting papers since 2 week and still nothing yet no ecas nor email :-[
They forgetting about me as usual, what can i do, nothing but praying to Gad and hopefully they give her the visa otherwise i will be dead

Once again glad to see you online, please let me know your news

Hang in there ..you will be contacted soon nshalla ..it seems as someone mentioned in another forum that they when few applications are finalized within the same time frame, they request the passports from the applicants ,and then they deliver back the passports at the same time ..so ya3ni bijamm3ouwon sawa w binattrouna kermel ma kl shway yeshteghlo nafs el sheghel..

Second one, what do you mean by call them? Do you mean the embassy or the visa center?

I meant after you get the golden e-mail and submit your passport ,you need to call the VFS cz they won't send an sms lamma yerj3lon l passport(fi ktir 3aj2a hal fatra,it seems mawsam PR ) w mn abla talfantellon lal VFS w alouli enno send an e-mail lal embassy la2an ata3 el 3 weeks w ba3d ma kenou raddou l passport
I don't know eza abl l e-mail bteb3at e-mail bireddou 3lek aw shi..ana my case was different cz ma talabou documents zyedeh metel your case..so enta hkiyon w s2alon..

Ma3a 7a2 Ghinak. I got my wife to call them because it was more than the 30 days since we submitted her passport. Da2et and what do you know, they told her eno her passport jehiz and its ready for pickup.

She went today to pick it up. Sara7a they dont seem to want to help anyone there either. Once they gave her the package, included in it was everything we submitted, pictures and all. She tried to ask them exactly what she needed to do when she lands in Canada, and they didnt even bother answering, they almost kicked her out. Maybe because fe 3aj2a w ma 3ndon wa2et, ma ba3ref but I thought that was pretty rude of them.

My wife will also be coming down in August!!!

She went today to pick it up. Sara7a they dont seem to want to help anyone there either. Once they gave her the package, included in it was everything we submitted, pictures and all. there's an orientation flyer though inside did you guys see it? She needs to contact the IOM office during office hours to book a seat (a one day seminar in Gefinor Rotana Hotel). But they want the Canadian Embassy B file number which I don't have!my file number starts with an F ..I don't know if it's a general flyer,or if I should get a B number.Did your wife check that?
Btw they only returned our pictures from the application and the passport request letter,and there's an important piece of paper we need to take with us when we land

Hi all,

just an update on my part, we submitted my hubby's PP on the 15th of April. Yesterday i checked the VFS website and it stated that the passport was ready for collection. I called this morning and they assured me that it was ready for pick up since the 20th. Till now my hubby did not receive and sms so if anyone reading this is awaiting their PP return, please check the VFS website (track your application) because it seems they charge you for getting an sms and they dont send it. Hey Ghinak,

If you went that same day than I am pretty sure that you may have seen her there. In regards to that seminar, maybe the B file number is for the skilled workers program possibly because my file # also starts with an F; but in any case my wife didn't know about it. They did give her a form that will need to be submitted to customs officers upon her arrival in Canada in addition to her visa. Also the letter requesting her passport may be requested as well.

She arrives in Ottawa August 4 so I will find out if we have all that we need. Tickets have been booked

First alf mabrouk on your pregnancy w khalasik bi saleme (read on the other post about TRV) w nshallah your mom is granted the visa w tousal la 3indik bi saleme...

As per your post, I received my pics back as well, even though they were printed on regular paper. I didnt send actual pictures but they returned them, so i think if u ask for them they should return them.

Emad any news on your part??? any updates for anyone??
