Need help,
My relatives a refused refugee. They will be leaving Canada in 10 days, is it a good idea to have them their police check or RCMP check before they leave Canada? I think they had their finger-prints taken in the beginning when they applied for their refugee case. Pls advice how and where do they get their RCMP or police check?

Pls advise me the steps to do this.
A) Where should they go to?
B) Should they apply for a police check or a criminal check? I mean should they go for a finger print test or just a regular police check.
C) How long would it be valid for? (Would it be valid for at least couple of years)
Please kindly advise.
Thank You.

well first you have to find one in the area you are leaving its not hard to find check the directory or the interent or even CIC website, the nexxt is u have to do a finger print, the finger print allows both background and clearance and all this is valid for 6 months, so as you are leaving the country in a few days it will be valid until u return.

hope tht helps

Hi there,
Went to one of the authorized agencies for a police check today and the staffs told us that we do not need to do the finger print test as its valid for 6 months only, and they advised us to go back home and do it from there. My concern is, it takes for ever to get it done from the back home. Today we just did RCMP police check without finger print. Should we go for finger-print ? We will be leaving Canada on this weekend.
Thank you.

if you already did your finger prints in canada 6 most ago or less you dont need it again since you leaving, do you know exactly when you did your fingerprints in toronto? if you havent done it in canada then u need to go another agency that does finger printing and they make sure you tell them wat it is for so they can send it to the right ppl, again i dont know wat you want it for.

then when you get home you need to do another one from your country, again i dont know wat u doing it for, and then send it to them as soon as you can.

it would be helpfull if i knew wat you was doing it for .

We are planning to come back to Canada when our son will sponsor us once the parent sponsorship application would re-open. We have not done any finger print test yet. When we went to one of the agency listed by CIC today they told us that to do the finger print test once we get to our back home since finger print is only valid for 6 months only. I am running out of my days here, so if I need to do the one I have only 4 more days for the same. Please help us.

since you havent done the fingerprints yet and you have been in canada more than 6 months IN VERY IMPORTANT YOU DO IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE, or else when you ready to be sponsored it will delay thing for you to much. so get the fingerprints done and take it back home with you until they are ready to ask for it. but please make sure you do it before you leave, and explain to them why you want to get it done and you have never done it before.

How do I get Certificate of Departure and whom should I ask for this? Would they give it without any trouble? I heard that if we forget to get that then it will be very hard in the future. Will Delhi CIC would ask for a certificate of departure when my son would apply for the sponsorship.
Thank you for reading my query.

well it all depends on how you leaving, if you facing a deportaion or exemption, your officer at CBSA suppose to give you your documents and when you reach on the airport, am guessing pearson airport, you go downstairs to immigration and they will be notified that u are ready to depart with ticket and everything ready, they give u some more papers and send you on your way, when u arrive at the departure u have to wait for anotrher officer who would escort you to the place and he would have an envelope with your passport and other doducment but that if u being deported.

We were told that departure order becomes deportation, regardless. So I assume its deportation. We are buying our own tickets and we are not taking any money they had offered us. Its so confusing.
Even with my airlines I am allowed to take 2 baggages but the CBSA officer is allowing me only 1 suitcase I don't know what should I do about it.

yes i guess you instruction does say 1 bag but dnt worry they really dont check that at the airport, since you are not escorted or anything like that, you just go report at the airport then check in your bag normally there is no one there makin sure you have one bag so dont even worry yourself bring as much bags as you want. the only time you will see someone is when you are ready to baord, and am guessing you dont have your passport, they will give it to you when you getting off the plain in your country. its usually a good thing when you dnt take their money.
