Is your application in progress? Or it's closed and you are waiting to receive the certificate? My understanding is that when the app is finally close, it means the certificate is on its way to the recipient.

My application was closed on August 11, 2 days after oath.

I had sent a request to update my email address on file and then got a 'ghost' update with date of update as Aug 22. I'm now wondering if that could be the 'update'

IRCC portal update on August 24th 2022, shows application closed on August 23rd, 2022. Waiting now to receive the certificate.

I am also waiting for status update. Did my oath virtually on 16th Aug at Manitoba office. I have sent an web form asking for an update today. The auto reply to the mail sent for the signed oath letter states than "A decision/response to your request will be added to your file within 3 business days of receipt" but still no update.

My Application status is changed to "Closed" today.

Citizenship Application updated today August 24th 2022. Application approved and Closed on August 23rd 2022. Now waiting for Citizenship Certificate to arrive by mail. Again Congratulations to all my fellow Canadian Citizens and soon to become. This platform was such of a great support throughout this journey. See ya on the other side of the river….passport application backlog lol

To give you of an idea of timeline...

Background check Completed on July 3rd 2022

Email request for provincial identification received on July 17th 2022 (update date still July 4th in portal)
Replied to request July 18th 2022 (update date still July 4th in tracker)
Received an automatic reply by email on July 19th saying they would process the documents within 5 business days but to not use the email address for other things
Physical presence and Prohibitions Completed on July 19th (update date July 20th in portal) ==> language skills was left in progress until Oath ceremony because not required due to age

Citizenship ceremony in progress on July 29th for Oath on August 18th (update date August 1st in portal)
Received email invitation on August 8th for Oath on August 18th (update date still August 1st in portal)

Took Oath on August 18th, in portal the 'waiting on you' for the oath disappeared
Application approved and closed on August 23rd (update date August 25th in portal)

Waiting on certificate.

Congrats! Did my oath August 15 (Montreal) and status still in progress. Getting nervous about it.
