I’m in ON, where are you? Wondering if people in MB have received their certificates or perhaps the office is just super slow.

Me too. But I don't think distance is the reason here.. I mean packages from BC have reached within a week using regular post so they are taking their own sweet time in mailing them.

I read a few posts and they said the certificate would be mailed out when the application is closed, maybe it’s not the case then. I’m hoping to get it soon so I don’t have to cancel my trip

Well guys i ve been assigned an oath date for next week and soon my whole journey with immigration and citizenship will be over. I am a bit emotional right now but what a journey! About 7 years of my (our) life was spent just to reach this day, and this forum is priceless, and for free too (which is crazy) so thanks from the bottom my heart for sticking out with me, answering my questions and help me get past the stress and anxiety along the way. Canada is the best country in the world (hence my 7 years spent on this) good luck to you all. Maybe this will be my last post!

Guys, just a query, how long did you guys [Whoever got it] wait for the Citizenship Cert to arrive after OATH...??? It's been 3 weeks now after my OATH and I am still waiting for the cert... I know 3 weeks is nothing compared to the IRCC ways of working.... but I have had my fair share in the waiting game and getting anxious at the final stage....

Got a ghost update on Aug 22 but nothing has been updated since then...I have everything except ceremony updated since June.

I had sent a request to update my email address, could the ghost update be just that?

I keep checking my mailbox everyday since August 18th 2022 which is the date I took the Citizenship Oath lol. Haven’t received anything yet. Now you’re saying it’s been 3 weeks…well… this tells me that I still have a long wait ahead to receive mine too.

To give you of an idea of timeline...

Background check Completed on July 3rd 2022

Email request for provincial identification received on July 17th 2022 (update date still July 4th in portal)
Replied to request July 18th 2022 (update date still July 4th in tracker)
Received an automatic reply by email on July 19th saying they would process the documents within 5 business days but to not use the email address for other things
Physical presence and Prohibitions Completed on July 19th (update date July 20th in portal) ==> language skills was left in progress until Oath ceremony because not required due to age

Citizenship ceremony in progress on July 29th for Oath on August 18th (update date August 1st in portal)
Received email invitation on August 8th for Oath on August 18th (update date still August 1st in portal)

Took Oath on August 18th, in portal the 'waiting on you' for the oath disappeared
Application approved and closed on August 23rd (update date August 25th in portal)

Waiting on certificate.

youre happened pretty smoothyl. How come mine is not moving up? August 10th: background check completed. since then, nothing. is this normal?

My status changed to everything completed except Oath on June 15th 2022 and have been waiting ever since , oath ceremony not started yet. Getting a little impatient now as I need to plan a travel in next few months. What I inferred from posts here is that even for GCMS notes inquiry we need to wait few weeks/months to get a response/reply. Was thinking of sending an email (not sure if that would help?) and was wondering if anyone here could suggest which email address to send email to for follow up? Thank you.

I sent an email to the ceremony email address and they said the certificate was mailed out on August 18 via regular mail. They took their sweet time for sure.
