I sent an email to the ceremony email address and they said the certificate was mailed out on August 18 via regular mail. They took their sweet time for sure.

No, they just send out using regular Canada Post service. You can’t choose the courier.

That is exactly 1 week AFTER the application status was marked as Closed. Not sure why status was updated if it wasn't mailed, unless they printed the certificate on that day and then just sat on it for a week before mailing. I think a week is a reasonable amount of time for it to reach here so it may show up in the mailbox tomorrow!

No worries, I know a lot of us wondering how long it takes. I had to cancel my passport appointment tomorrow because I doubt it would arrive on time and it would be better for someone else to take that slot.

I received the oath invitation email/letter instructions today(July 29). I got the email at 1:47pm.

Good morning everyone,

I had the oath ceremony on August 22. The Oath or affirmation document was signed and sent via email right after & Waiting on you message dissappeared on the same day.

The Citizenship Oath Activity updated to completed on August 25, 2022 (Update received on August 26, 2022)

The Citizenship Application Status updated to closed: August 26, 2022

Hello folks,

Got a question. My Oath is on Sept 16. I need to travel to India to get my parent's medication in Oct/Nov.

If I am reading the timelines correctly. following is a viable option. Can one travel outside on Indian passport after Oath ceremony ?

Sept 16: Oath
Oct 10: 3 weeks to get Certificate
Oct 19: 1 week to get Canadian Passport under urgent processing with proof of travel
Nov1: another 10 days or so to Renounce citizneship and get OCI under tatkal (if available)?

Should be within a week...but when u r trying to find a relation between "Timeline" and "IRCC".....Darwin's theory makes more sense.....
