Received Guide Book, AOR (dated 28 Oct) and a "how to" half page instruction sheet on language requirements today.

How long did it take from the day they sent an email to you to the day you recieved the guid book at home ?

Is there anyone who has received the book in mail even after getting an email AOR?

I received my AOR in email (e-cas still doesn't work for me) and it did not have any mention re: any mail containing the book/guide/AOR paper copy. So should I expect it?

Got the AOR dated Oct 29th with the study guide on Nov 25th.

Looks like Aug applicants started receiving GuideBook. Going to check my mailbox too.

Those who receive AOR by email won't get the paper book. There is a link in the email for you to download the book.

It takes around 4-5 weeks from e-cas update as per our timelines..Almost a dozen posters who received book yesterday (Nov. 25) got our e-cas activated last week of October. See below:

Received the book and acknowledgement letter on (20th Nov 2014)

Received the book and acknowledgement letter by mail 25 Nov 2014.

Received the book and acknowledgment letter by mail today as well.

I also got my book and AOR today!!!!!

I just called CIC and asked them about my application (they received it on 29th of Aug 2014). I was advised that there is no record of my application in their systems. I was also advised that either it has been returned or it never got to them!


Fedex confirmed that it was received on 29th of August 2014 by D Stapleton. Any ideas what is going on? should i send a new application or wait for another few weeks?

It is in there somewhere at CIC, I think. Lost in return transit is also a minor possibility. In order to avoid the prospect of waiting for unknown amount of time unsure of the outcome, it is good idea to send another application (wait for 8-10 days though). You will probably hear about the original application in the interim, but no harm in having a back-up application.

Try calling different agent. Same thing with me one agent couldn't find my app but the other agent could.

I did not receive any mail today from CIC However, 2 weeks to date I have another E-cas update today
My received line disappeared. I know this means they are working on my file, but I wonder what''s going on so soon?

P.s not complaining but I didnt expect to get any updates till next year. Dont know wether I should be happy or anxious. ???
