You guys are right ! At the moment we might not be feeling the pace in MB,SK and AB ,however I am sure it won't remain like this for long .If the processing times are decreased to a remarkable extent all over Canada , these provinces will also get benefitted , ultimately (hopefully shortly) .

Even come June/July 2015 when this law is fully implemented, Calgary and other Western Provinces CIC offices will still have to finish all the growing applications for this year, from tests to oaths with the current model. So really, applicants applying after June/July 2015 will be met by a new delay and will have to wait close to a year until these offices will touch those applications since they will need to finish up processing this years applications with this years rules and provisions. Really we are looking at the end of slow processing time frames for this part of Canada come around 2018 and onwards. If another flood or natural disasters occurs before 2018 that will hit Harry Hats building, then slow processing will be here for until 2020 at least! Now ofcourse elections are happening next year in October, so if the conservatives lose and the NDP or Liberals win , then there is hope. Who ever becomes Immigration minister then will need to spell out some ministerial instructions as to how to process and reject these backlog applications. An amnesty of some kind in a way. There is simply no way Canada can keep up with immigration files if such backlogs continue to grow no matter what model. Real leadership is needed here, half measures and endless social media photos and wonderful statements aren't helping us at all.
