Hi,

Can we submit RCMP upfront even if they dont ask for it?
My concern is that I might be in India when they will process my file and if they ask for RCMP when I am in India, it might be very difficult for me to get it done. Isn't it?

So is it not better to get it done now since I am in Canada?
Please advise.

Can someone please advise?

Hi ..do I need to send RCMP via email address or the actual address, which is given below. One more thing is that what should I include in cover letter.
Thanks

Its a good news that our August applicants are pushed now.
Can any one please tell me if the RCMP is for primary applicant only or for all the dependents on the file, in my case my wife is added as dependent.

please assist!

Thanks

Is this an August 2013 application?

Right, but was the previous poster an August 2013 applicant for CEC? Their bio says PNP.

I'm curious about whether August 2013 CEC applicants are actually getting RCMP requests yet.

good catch buddy.
I noticed one more CEC member Id "GHD1213" received RCMP request. So we are good.

Ah yes. A couple of pages back people started talking about RCMP.

So it's only if someone with the same name has a criminal record?

RCMP is that finger printing thing right?

I already submitted that when I applied in august.......received AOR on Nov 2nd..........now lets see what happens next.

Haha..nice catch!! :P

Yeah, got RCMP request last week for both myself and my wife!

Honestly, I don't think it is an exciting sign yet that they actually have processed August applicants, it is usually first thing to check for the application. When I received my GCMS note dated December 2013, where it said RCMP requested anyway. So, there is still a long to go.

I GOT MY RCMP REQUEST on 22nd jan. But it was only requested for my spouse.

Not everyone receives RCMP request. CIC conducts name based RCMP checks for all applicants and only if a name matches that of someone with a criminal record, then CIC requests RCMP certificate. This is done using fingerprints to clear your name. You may or may not receive this request.

One more thing, RCMP certificates cannot be emailed. They have to be sent to the address provided in the RCMP request email. You could request it to be sent directly to CIC when you go to get it done. I've seen applicants chose this option in other threads.

CEC applicants don't need to be employed during the process. So you can take part time jobs (or no job).
