You should try and relax, stay positive or else your anxiety will be the death of you. Yes, it's hard but if you can manage it then the time will pass by more easily =)

Sorry of this is a stupid question, but did you validate the form when you had finished completing it on the computer?
Yeah I validated them. And they said validated on the sheets. I am not too worried, I think the bar code is to make the officers job easier, they may have to put us in manually, thats all! ;)

no sure of actual timelines of Paris but I know they are considered one of the faster VO's.....hope that helps!! :)

Getting your package returned and having to send it back might be a blessing in disguise. Seems that those people who resent it back are sometimes fast tracked for approval. There have been a few cases of that happening recently.

As of a few weeks ago it was 86 days, and prior to that, 92 days. So 66 is quite the leap in the right direction.

I think what they meant is...... 66 days is quite good compared to what has happened during the course of this year. People who applied in February, March, April and up to about mid May went through horrific wait times, some were close to 120 days.

Since mid-May onwards the backlog has been reduced dramatically, almost as good at any point this year (I think January applicants may have had about a 55 day wait)

CIC updates weekly on a Wednesday but usually they are loathe to update their processing times to a new month, they will hold it at the end of 1 particular month for 2 weeks (like where they are now with June) then suddenly it will jump forward eventually substantially (I would expect this weeks update to jump at least to mid July)

I think they are looking to get the processing days between 45-60 days. 45 is the best I have ever seen. 66 days is not bad in the grand scheme of things.

Good luck :D

Hello everybody,

We recieved a mail from the CIC today (sept 10th). It says that my boyfriend has met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The application has been forwarded to the Visa office in Vienna for the rest of the process for the application for perminent residence for me. The letter also says that we can start with the Quebec part.

Now I was wondering. I'm going to visit my boyfriend in Montreal Next Monday and we plan to send the forms and the documents for the Quebec part Wednessday the 19th. Does anybody think this is too late?

We were pretty surprised actually that this came in so fast. Or is this normal?
