The application times have been updated finally and they stayed the same (which is good in my opinion since 66 is a pretty low number):

66 days

Working on applications received on June 28, 2012

glad they updated!!!! :)

I'm glad too! I don't think they'll drop again for a while, that was a pretty significant drop the last time. I actually thought it was going to go up this time but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it had stayed the same =)

Some of the July applicants are coming up on the 66 day mark this week and next week so we'll see how accurate that number really is soon!

sweet lord. What i have noticed that first half of the year is always slow (90-100 days) and second half is (a bit) faster. Maybe they want to have more ethic Christmas time.

Anwhow. good news!

I think they just want to keep us all from having a nice holiday season with our loved ones =(

Yay a second person from August has gotten AOR, congrats, CharlizeRai! May the rest of the process be smooth sailing as well =)

Thanks!! I hope so.

I have a feeling that my quick AOR may have to do with the fact that I had re-done my application entirely, and my original arrival date at CIC was July 3. I did write a letter when I re-did it, asking them to place me back in line where I would have been, so who knows. Maybe they are working more quickly, or maybe they read my letter. I was emailed last night at 10:20 PM Mountain time (kind of weird working hours!)

That is exactly my situation....except my original was late May, return was late July....and re-did everything to reflect current situation.

Ugh

At any rate, I'm happy for you

It can be a pretty horrific process! I hope you get something soon. It's amazing how much an AOR can light a situation up. Best of luck in getting through your process, I hope it will be quicker and painless!!

I just found out that two forms that I mailed in are not the newest version (they updated it July 2012, I 02/2012 versions). So I don't know if they will accept that...I guess it will be likely that I get the paperwork send back.

Anyone an idea what I should do? Re-do those forms already and send them in with a note that it is for my application or just wait and see what happens?

you should be fine as long as you used the february 2012 version...that is the most important form to have had down.....the july 2012 will keep being accepted for awhile...don't worry it will be okay....

Thanks, I hope so :) .

(Would be nice if they write a notice that there are new forms. Maybe they did, I just never saw a notice.)

I did forms in October and then was going back to Cuba to get our marriage license and they changed in December so got those and then when I filed in February they changed again and I could not use those forms....so frustrating...like you said there is no notice that they are new...just if you like at the bottom of the page...not nice at all!!!

I had done that as well (they had updated their forms between July 20 when I was on the net, and August 9 - the day after I had sent my application).

I called and spoke with three different agents, asking them the same question. Two of them told me it shouldn't be an issue. The initial agent I spoke with told me they probably wouldn't send my package back based on that, but it depends on what each visa officer wants, and if they want the most up to date, they will ensure it is such. To which I said, it's unfortunate there are no standards, and I was told that there are...but each officer makes up their own mind.

I just received my AOR with some February 2012 forms.
