I'm wondering this as well, but I'm guessing there are several different emails that these get sent from.
I have spent HOURS googling this and can not find an answer, I am so afraid of missing it! do they post a letter as well?

joezimmer....this is the best I can do with respect to an email for and to answer your other question it is either email or mail....having said that the AOR is always email and the approval can be either email or snail mail.....hope this helps....

I have to admit I tried to log in to ecas with my previous UC #. Even though I knew the chances of being successful were nil, I still was disappointed... ::) I have to be stronger from now on and just try to sign in every 3 weeks or so.

I tried using my husband's UCI from his past visitor visa, and nothing :(

Yup, you're "good" (kyc221) at least until OCTOBER . . . at LEAST!

I guess the line between being optimistic and idealistic is very, very thin, lol!

We sent our application in a couple weeks ago, and they received it on the 24th of august (according track trace).

So you won't hear anything till they start processing our application? (which will take 2-3 months or so)

Hey maggie465,

that's correct - waiting time is 66 days for now. You might get an AOR telling you that your file has been received, but not everybody gets one.
So for now - just put it in the back of your mind until end of October, and if something comes sooner, that's perfect - but no need to get stressed now, you'll have plenty of time to get stressed in the process.
Good luck,
Sweden

they're processing faster now. :) goodluck everyone! think positive!

I keep thinking of little things I could/ should have sent along with my husband's PR application.... ??? I'm already starting to freak myself out! Wouldn't it be nice for everyone if they could just get on with it!!!!!

I just realized I didn't send the sheet of paper specifying the VO at all. it is sitting in my file folder.... is that an issue? I know I mentioned I didn't know my VO but I am afraid not having this paper will get it sent back. I hope that is not the case :(

Which paper is that? I don't think I sent it in...

Lol I dont remember that paper either and certainly never specified my VO. I assume they probably know your Visa office as they requested scanned pages of your passport, asked your nationality on application form, your birth certificate etc etc. I only see a slight mishap if you have dual citizenship already where they may send it to the "other" VO by mistake. When we had sponsor approval they sent a letter to my wife telling me what VO the file had been sent to (and it was perfectly correct).

I would not worry much to be honest unless you have dual citizenship or some other extraordinary circumstance.

Good luck :D

the spreadsheet is ready for everybody to send on tuesday! :-) the last part is especially stressful when you are trying to make sure you didn't forget anything, but it feels good when it's in the post office! :-)
Make sure that you have a tracking system with the post (or any other service you are using) because you might not get an AOR right away from Mississauga, so it's best to have your own tracking system, at least you know that your application arrived safe.
Good luck,
Sweden

Hello and welcome,

Nothing to be worried about at all. It is a very very slow process and going through London VO a lot of the process is without notification. CIC are currently working on applications received on June 25th with a 66 day processing time. The CIC site updates weekly on a Wednesday (in about 2 hours from now actually) So as the current waiting times stands I would say you are unlikely to hear anything before end of September/ Early October (Just keep checking that site weekly) When your 1st stage is approved the Sponsor (usually the person residing in Canada) will get notification in the form of an E-mail or regular postal mail.

Best of luck and welcome to the boards :D
