Mr AOR where are you? :(
You should be getting AOR any day now. I didn't get AOR for 22 days after my application was received and for some people it was 23-25.

The CIC website lists about 35 days right now and that's normally fairly accurate within about a week. I applied a few days before you and have AOR but no SA. I'm not expecting SA for at least another week or two.

Good luck.

Congrats!

crazy. That is by far the quickest AOR I have ever seen!
I just checked it online again by clicking on the status:

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 28, 2016.

We started processing your application on April 27, 2016

...so it really is AOR 1.

Thinking ahead [because I'm hopeful!] about moving to Canada. Handful of questions...

1. Once we receive COPR is it that we have 6 months to cross the border to officially settle? Trying to get our ducks in a row now as we have a house to prep and sell and 2 young kids so you know...nothing goes fast. ;)
2. I know we have to list all that we are taking across on the B4 document but are there limitations to what we can bring across? Moving from Washington state into BC is a short move in the grand scheme of things but we all know how much less things can cost in the US. In addition to stocking up on household goods, are there limitations on dry goods [flours, oats, baking supplies, etc] that we can take across? We make everything from scratch and it would be aweeesome to have a good stock ;D
3. Any knowledge on how detailed the B4 is required to be?

1: Not necessarily. Your COPR will be valid for as long as your medical is valid for.
2: The limitations are the same as what you could otherwise bring into Canada. http://www.inspection.gc.ca/food/information-for-consumers/travellers/what-can-i-bring-into-canada-/eng/1389648337546/1389648516990 You still have to declare any food. Whether or not you'll have to pay duties on the food, I don't know.
3: If an item is expensive and has a serial number like a computer etc, then you should be specific with the value and write the serial number, if the item has one. For used clothes etc you can estimate. "Clothes - $200" or however much you think the value of your used clothes is. You don't have to write everything down to the individual T-Shirt. Items that are lower in value like clothes, books, DVDs, etc, can be grouped together in categories like those.

And medical is valid for 12 months, correct?

Congrats to all of those who got their AOR!

next you wait for your SA. After that they will transfer the file.

you'll only know which one to pick once they transfer the file. they'll tell you when you get SA.
I'm sorry for being ignorant, but what does SA stand for? I've googled immigration acronyms, but it never lists everything :(.
How did all of you get to know these acronyms anyway? Is there a stickied thread I missed? :p

Sponsorship Approval ;D
There's an acronym tab on the 2016 Outland spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nQFdDeeLRGrdl_DzlAumwv6nyz-oprHo5rU1bGdDdqs/edit#gid=658388151

I'm taking my cat with me in cabin with some dry food in my purse. Cats tend to be really quiet in the planes and at the airport with all the strangers around. My cat is a talker and meows constantly in the car but not once we arrive at a new place. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure the carrier dimensions are good, as well as vaccinations and pet passport. Try to sneak some food in. I am very protective and mama beary of my Freyja. It will be ok. I worry too but lets pray for each other.
I'm also bringing my cats, two to be exact. I was thinking perhaps it'd be best if they were checked in, 'cause then their carriers would be big enough and you could make room for a little toilet.. Only, I'm also really paranoid about whether they will take good care of the cats or not, and if there'll be a proper temperature or air in the luggage area. After reading comments here, I'm also seriously considering bringing my cats on board. My husband will be with me, so we should both be able to bring one each. I'm just worried that my cat will be loud as hell because he's siamese >.<. But rather annoy people than he dies.... I have a hard time seeing how there's room for a proper carrier under the seat though :|.
