Doubt my wife can manage anything in the mail right now.. She almost had an heart attack after seeing a brown envelop in her mailbox today..Thought it was our entire application lol
That would have scared me so much. I was very paranoid about my application getting returned until I got AOR. It took 22 days for me to get AOR, so hang in there.

This is my nightmare right now. I will relax so much more once the AOR comes through and we know they won't be sending it back!!

There is no minimum income requirement for spousal sponsorship

I read that as well and yet they put us through such anguish collecting all that financial information and worry. For most it is better to tick the box to discontinue your application as without a sponsor you will be rejected. Makes you wonder why they would even ask.

I agree, why ask to provide proof of employement and tax information if there is no minimum...and yes, why do they even ask that?? Maybe there is a reason I'm not seeing right now, but like you said, no sponsor, no go.

While there is no minimum income requirement for spouses, they still expect to see something that indicates that the sponsor will be able to provide for the principal applicant for the duration on the undertaking. Still, it would take a lot to have SA refused over income. The main reason for the Notice of Assessment/Option C is to make sure the sponsor is not on social assistance other than disability. I think a part-time job will be fine.

I'm also bringing my cats, two to be exact. I was thinking perhaps it'd be best if they were checked in, 'cause then their carriers would be big enough and you could make room for a little toilet.. Only, I'm also really paranoid about whether they will take good care of the cats or not, and if there'll be a proper temperature or air in the luggage area. After reading comments here, I'm also seriously considering bringing my cats on board. My husband will be with me, so we should both be able to bring one each. I'm just worried that my cat will be loud as hell because he's siamese >.<. But rather annoy people than he dies.... I have a hard time seeing how there's room for a proper carrier under the seat though :|.
I've seen on youtube that even bigger cats were fine under the seat. I'm too scared to risk her being checked in. I'm choosing a flight that allows cats in cabin and I'm going to follow all the guidelines strictly so that we can fly on that day and looking at the best airlines for pets.

I ticked the other box. I hope it will be ok... I'm so worried about that... maybe for no reason but still.

I also ticked the other box. I'm not too worried since it's incredibly unlikely that my husband will be refused as a sponsor, but I'm a bit worried too. Try to keep your mind off it for the next month... there's not much else we can do but wait.

Thanks, I'm trying. I'm more paranoid of this than getting the package sent back. I hope neither happens. I think I did a very clear and good application. I really need to figure out how to relax and not think about it. I probably shouldn't be on this site so much. Let's think positive and put those good vibes out there.

Yep, trying to keep positive is the best way to go about it. I thought worrying about my application getting returned would be the last of my worries, but as soon as I got AOR I started worrying that I would need an interview or something and stressing about getting my visitor status extended etc. If you dwell on what could go wrong, you'll find that there's always something that could go wrong. I know it's kind of hard to get on with your life when you're waiting to start a new life with your PR application, but distractions are definitely great for dealing with this application process. I'm still figuring out how to keep myself from worrying. I know I've come a long way since I joined this site last August and started looking into applying for PR. I was a nervous wreck when I first got on here.

This site can be a great tool when it comes to information and support, but it can definitely work against you by allowing you to dwell on waiting times and other things out of your control.

I'm sure you'll get SA without any issues. I personally haven't heard of people being refused to sponsor their spouse from anything other than being on social assistance. I don't think it will end up mattering at all that we ticked the box to continue with the application if SA is denied.

No problem ;D.
Only reason to worry is if you have major red flags, like.criminal background, immigration issues or if you didnt provide enough evidence. All of which youd be allowed to ecplain.

And im sure people in this group don't have these flags.

I submitted my app without a police check and included a note wxplaining why i couldnt get it. Im a bit worried about that but literally nothing i can do. So guess ill just wait until any doc requests.
