Hey everyone!

It's nice to have a group of people going through the same stuff I'm being sponsored by my husband who is Canadian. He received his AOR1 on April 23rd. Let's hope things will go well!

Anyone worrying about not sending everything, i didnt include all my police checks. because i actually cant get one of them. so i sent an incomplete application, although i did send a note and a bunch of evidence showing how i tried but failed. Im feeling a little sketchy about that haha.

otherwise, we all meticulously check out applications, so hope for the best and trust in your good organising work!

On the forum you mean?

Nothing official as every case is different.

Generally though after aor, comes sa. After that the application is forwarded to the appropriate visa office. Some vos send aor2, others dont. This is normally tracked by a third line appearing in ecas on the applocants side, and is followed by the applocation going to in proceaa.

There, the applicant is assessed. Proof of relationship, medical reaults, criminality check and eligibility. If anything is missing docs are requested. If there are any doubts an interview takes place.

After all that and if youre from a visa exempt country you get dm and then copr through the post. If youre not visa exempt then you send your passport in and get it back with copr.

From what I remember visa-exempt applicants aren't asked to send in their passport. The photocopy of your passport pages that you sent upfront should be fine. If your application is processed in Ottawa and they do ask you for your passport, then yes of course you have to send it to Ottawa.
