Hey guys.
My spouse underwent a medical exam 6 months ago. I submitted application yesterday. after 158 days of the medical exam.
Is it going to be a problem ? will they ask for a remed ?
If you get copr in 4 months (super quickly) youll be fine. But if it takes longer than a ywar from the medicals (more likely) theyll ask you to submit another medical exam.copr is linked to the medicals. Normally you have to land within a year of doing them.

However, exceptions are made with some applications. Good luck!

So...I was going over the document checklist one more time and read the "Proof of medial examination (Copy 1 of Medical Report: Client Biodata and Summary IMM1017 signed and provided by the panel physician"

Maybe this is a stupid question but...my husband had his medical with a physician that submits the medical electronically--we are not supposed to have a copy of this IMM1017 right? We have all the reciepts and the client information sheet with the UMI number on it, which we will submit. Are we missing something?

You do not have to print out any additional forms for an upfront medical. All you need is the client information sheet with the UMI number on it. That UMI number is what they use to find your medical results in the system.

Thank you! I hate that this process makes you so illogical...that you know what the right answer is, but there is that little seed of doubt!

Umhmm. I hope little things like for example, writing Milano instead of Milan don't make a difference.
Congrats to the ones who've sent their application. I'm so happy and grateful I found this forum.

I am a Canadian sponsoring my common law partner. She did her upfront medical about a week ago and got a call from the doctor's office to do further test. Her thyroid gland is bigger than normal, she tested years ago it's benign. My questions:

1. Does it makes sense for the doctor's office to call for further test and not the VO processing the application?
2. Am I right to assume if her thyroid condition is confirmed benign (upon re-examination), her medical should pass (she has no problem on TB, HIV, HEP-B, etc prescribed initial tests)?
3. Should I expect a delay on the application processing time based on her medical condition (assuming even the re-examination is showing benignity) when her medical report is B grading?

Thank you for any information or input!

PS. We sent in the application just last week.

1: Yes. It's the physician's job to carry out any testing or notify you that you need additional tests, not the CIC. I was notified during my exam that I needed an extra blood test to make sure my kidneys were functioning well, because my BMI is over 25.
2: Yes. Excess demand does not apply to spouses. Even if she had a thyroid condition she would not be denied.
3: No. The CIC won't even be getting to her medical for months when they actually start processing the principal applicant's side.

Sorry, I'm confused by the whole 'courier' thing.

Did you send it using a courier service such as FedEx, or did you send it with a postal service such as Canada Post, USPS, etc? If you sent it via whatever service where you live is the public mail service, then that's not a courier. If you sent it with a shipping company, that's a courier.
