Take a return trip out of the country to anywhere. Our do what most people do if you live near the border and do a flag pole visa run. Where you go down, turn around and come back

My husband and I did this to activate his IEC visa. He entered Canada first as a visitor for a few months and then back at the end of March we went to Buffalo NY for the afternoon, turned around and came back. Just told the border guard at the booth we wanted to activate his visa. We got sent inside to the Immigration agent and about 15mins later...shiny visa! They were very good about all of it, no problems at all. We just made sure we had all the paperwork we could ever need with us!

Yeah, they hadn't sent the package out yet. It was in the office. I sent it express and they said it will arrive on Monday. I joined the spreadsheet when I did the med exam and I entered today's date in the application sent column. The wait begins.

No kidding. I once tried to redirect a package I had sent with USPS and they failed to change the address it would be sent to, delivered it, and returned the next day and asked for it back! Then sent it to the correct address.

Haha. Living in Italy has a lot of perks. People/businesses tend to be more flexible and try to find a way around things. So the people in the TNT office were really nice and let me change the address, plus I talked to the same guy that was there just 10 minutes earlier. Maybe it's the good thing about small towns. I really need to appreciate my time here. I have one year left. Gotta eat all the good food I can and see all the history I can.

I'm from Toronto, born and raised so that's where I'm going. I know some nice places to eat but the Italian food in Toronto doesn't compare to that in Italy, not even close and I'm someone who researches restaurants and really tries to find the best ones. What I look forward to in Toronto is the good Korean, Thai and Vietnamese food that I can't get in Italy. There's not even one of these restaurants near where I live. I'd love to visit Australia.

Yeah, some good seafood there. Wherever I go, I find good things, but also miss the things I left behind. Just the way it is. Food tends to be what I focus on. haha. I used to live in Japan as well and miss it so much too. lol.

My spouse underwent a medical exam 6 months ago. I submitted application yesterday. after 158 days of the medical exam.
Is it going to be a problem ? will they ask for a remed ?

It's possible that they will if it expires while they are still processing the application. There have been instances where they extend the medical expiry date, but this seems to happen when the application is already approved but the medical will expire before the landing deadline... So hopefully they will process quick! But there is a good chance they could ask for a re-do
