hi guys!

I received my Passport Request just today,
the following are the requested documents:
> fully completed Appendix A
> Personal history
> complete history of residential address from Jan 2012 up to present
>original Passport

i have many questions and if someone could help me out, I would be thankful.

> for the Appendix A, if we don't have any child, shall we put N/A? or just leave it blank?
> for the Personal History, correct me if I'm wrong but I think this includes all activities I have been doing from the time I turned 18 up to today, right?
> the space provided for the personal history isn't enough for me to fill in all the details about me, should I have the form photocopied then make a note that it is a continuation? or should I write my personal history in another sheet of paper?

thanks

A couple questions for you:
- Did you already fill out your personal history in the application package?
- how do you plan on sending the passport?

As for answers:
- I believe N/A is acceptable as per the instructions
- I also believe that the standard method of adding information to ares with not enough space is as you suggested. But make sure you reference the question properly on your additional document.

Cheers and congrats!

More movement...e-cas has been updated again...this time with DECISION MADE!!! Here is what it shows:

We received your application for permanent residence on April 13, 2012.

We started processing your application on August 30, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

What does it mean by 'The office will contact you concerning this decision'? Does that mean they'll call us or something? Or does it mean that they are sending the passport back with the visa?

Surely this is positive, right? My wife's current home address is still showing our future Canadian address. I feel nervous...the part about the office contacting us makes me wonder...or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks,
FS

Hey Congratulations! :D It is certainly a good news for you! They might call you to confirm the address, however, I think they will just mail your wife's passport with the visa stamped in it! :) All you have to make sure is that someone is home in the next few working days to receive the passport! Cheers ;)

Thanks!

Yeah, that's what I am wondering about...why do they need to contact us? Do they send a letter like they did when I was approved as my wife's sponsor?

They send the passport via registered mail. The postal worker will put a form in our mailbox telling us we have a package waiting at the post office. We need to go to the post office to collect it. Too bad they didn't courier it back...

Yay! Do you know what this means... all of us Aprilcants are now on to the next step! This calls for an immigration party...

Hello fellow April 2012 applicants!
Can you please add me in the spreadsheet? Here's our timeline:

Meds: March 1, 2012
App Sent: April 12, 2012
App Delivered to CPC-M: April 16, 2012
Approval: July 16, 2012
File Transfer: not sure
PPR: waiting
PPR Recvd: waiting
Decision Made: before November 18, 2012

I moved here in Canada (TRV) to be with my husband while our application is being processed so technically, our application is still outside Canada. I am still waiting for the passport request and it kinda worries me. :( but i am thankful that at least I am with my husband which makes the waiting much more bearable. Gotta keep the positive and good vibes alive!

Thank you!

Thanks! I know... I'm so glad I stayed in this forum... it was a real great help. It took so long for me to get approval for stage 1... hopefully our stage 2 would be faster. What is the waiting time for Manila office now?

who's in-charge of the party? hahaha

It's great to see so much movement.....Jas09. Emhub. FS. and especially Fireluck!!!
CONGRATULATIONS :-* Its been hard, but so worth it!

Yeeeesss! that's great to hear, I'm really happy for you. I don't know how long is the next stage but Manilla seems to be a fast VO so hopefully you'll hear from them soon enough!
Enjoy the approval, and welcome to second stage!
Cheers,
Sweden
