i have a tendency to be over attentive to detail. it drives my wife mad in most cases but actually she came up all by herself and said thank you, i know it's because you prepared the file as best as possible.

nice to hear.
Haha, my wife did the same. She said that she never believed me that our application will go through without problems and that it will be faster than the stated timeline. Felt good to say: I told you.:)

Hey everyone,

Does anyone have a link to a consolidated list for things to do before you move. I'm trying to get organized so that if I get my PR I'll at least have some stuff squared away.

not sure if anyone has a better consolidated list, but I had favorited this thread months ago to come back to when it's time for the move. There's a lot of helpful info, especially specific for US->Canada moves

Hi Saffy,

Any updates you have from Paris visa office?
Please share, as I am also with Paris office (March 2012 thread)

I actually have that post saved as well. I also contacted OhCanadiana about importing my car, and now I feel so much better.

hi guys!

I received my Passport Request just today,
the following are the requested documents:
> fully completed Appendix A
> Personal history
> complete history of residential address from Jan 2012 up to present
>original Passport

i have many questions and if someone could help me out, I would be thankful.

> for the Appendix A, if we don't have any child, shall we put N/A? or just leave it blank?
> for the Personal History, correct me if I'm wrong but I think this includes all activities I have been doing from the time I turned 18 up to today, right?
> the space provided for the personal history isn't enough for me to fill in all the details about me, should I have the form photocopied then make a note that it is a continuation? or should I write my personal history in another sheet of paper?

thanks

have you received your passport back with the visa, yet?

Yupps i received my passport with a shining visa on 24th sep.

Good news. COPR arrived in the mail (special delivery to our UK address). Application arrived in Mississauga April 19th, sponsor approval came on July 12th, went straight from Application Received to Decision Made on Ecas a few days ago. It was a straightforward spousal application through the London VO, fairly skinny package, but included an extra step for Québec. Landing planned sometime in November. Thank you for the support.

More good news...

My wife's current address in e-cas now shows our address in CANADA!!!

I guess this means that the visa officer in HK has finalized everything and the visa has been issued...now we just need to wait for them to return my wife's passport!

Good luck, everyone!

This happened to me today also...Well, my current Canadian address changed to simply "Calgary Alberta Canada". I've read that it's a positive thing - congrats to you and your wife!

Congrats to you as well.

Yes, it means the visa has been approved...no doubt about it!

All we need to do is wait for them to return the passport and we're set...

great to hear - you're giving me hope!! my application was received 12th of April and sponsor approval on the 13th of July, so our timeline area very similar - i'm ready to receive my COPR, London please just send it!! my ecas still says application received today though.... guess i just have to wait a bit more.
Congratulations on being done so quickly, and enjoy Canada - good luck with moving and landing!
