Thanks Canadestin,

I am waiting since last 4 months to see my ECAS change from "RBVO" to "In Process".

Would you know, how long does it generally take to get the status updated?

Regards,
Paramvir Dhingra

that no one can tell....but according to NDVO Spreadsheet....average time to get MR is BETWEEN 170 - 200 days....but from past 1 month....we never heard any update from NDVO....there are few pending cases n from current...it seems like NDVO stopped at JAN 2011 applicant files.

u can also see the below spreadsheetfor the time lines.

one interesting thing we see is two Feb Applicants....Mayanpandyak and Pandey got query and they both filed application on 10 feb 2011 n got PER on 24 March....

it seems their file is looked by Visa Officer who just send queries.

and from that it is also clear that the NDVO has looked unto FEB applicants and info wat we have is till 10 Feb.

Now its a month since they received MR/Query.....so it is even possible that NDVO has looked into cases which are before feb 10 and after say till March 1 week... ......but wat u think why no updates from NDVO for these applicants/files?

Hi All. Am really impressed with the assistance without pay being offered by Mitali, Wayne, Mayank and a host of others. Keep up the good work. Am actually a newbie on this forum and I need your help with a question with regards to work experience.
1st work experience: December 2007 to December 2008 (1 year)
2nd work experience: December 2008 to March 2009 (3 months)
3rd work experience: March 2009 to August 2009 (5 months)
Total:1 year and 8 months

I have been out of my country for the past two years and I intend to go back and work for another 4 to 5 months
Now my question is: Will it be accepted by CIC that I have 2 years but less than 3 years of work experience after this additional work experience of 5 months or must it be two years of continuous work for it to be accepted as 2 years but less than 3 years of work experience?
Thanks

Hi chuksol,

1.For you to be eligible for FSW:

Applications from skilled workers with evidence of one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the last ten years in at least one of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes (and not combined partial year experience in multiple NOCs) specified in the Ministerial Instructions

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-experience.asp

2.Additional points will be granted if the other work experiences fall in the category of Skill level of O,A or B.

All applicants must meet the following minimal requirements to apply as a skilled worker:

You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time continuous employment
You must have had this experience within the last 10 years
Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupation Classification (NOC)

(Scroll down to _what are the minimal requirements)

Things I started doing from the day I received AOR:

1. Check Ecas as soon as i log on to the Computer.

2. Check my mobile AND home tel. to be sure that i havent missed any call from NDVO

3. Check with my office regarding call from NDVO

4. Check My email AND SPAM Folder for mail from NDVO

5. Check with my Post Office for mail from NDVO

6. Check with my Employer in Canada for any verification call from NDVO

Thanks Canadestin for you reply. I appreciate. Seniors, please any other input or different opinion?

The min requirement is 1 year full time paid experience in the NOC Code u intend to apply. And rest of the years of exp. add up points.

In my opinion, it's better to let VO's do their work and do not send queries at all. They process applications at their own pace and already have loads of work. On top of that, if they have to respond to queries, it'll further delay the processing. I am as restless and impatient as any of us but am restraining myself from sending the case specific queires. I know sending a query will not solve the purpose and I'll simply receive a standard email from the VO that your file is under process and you'll be contacted as and when required.

Wishing everybody good luck :)
