Hi Visara:

This month we are getting AORs for applications received in August. Jan will probably see applications received in Sept, and you should probably hear something in Feb... That is the best I can tell... Don't be confused, everyone is waiting just like you.

Take care,
Cam

Carl: The minimum days off that CIO would have would be 27 & 28 December and 3 January. I haven't read anywhere that they will be closed more than that, but expect some may have saved vacation days to take so productivity may slow down.
Thanks Pippin for the info.

Heheehe, I hit refresh every 10 minutes when I'm home from work and awake to see one PER appear and then when I go to sleep 4 PERs surface one after the other. Whoever said 'A watched kettle never boils' was absolutely right!!! Sadly, this forum is too much of an addiction to let go off now.

Anyway, congratulations to everyone who received their PERs yesterday; especially CanadaJimmy who had to sit on an extra cushion of pins and needles over the last week.

I wish all the remaining August and first week of September applicants good fortune and all the best of luck. May God bless us all with PERs so we may all move to Canada next year and thank God for the company of good friends while we freeze!
maybe when we get to canada we can book ourselves some canada forum detox or therapy. :D

Same here I wish all the Aug submission to get their PERs before year end. I really wished I joined this forum before I submitted my application. I now find a lot of errors in my app ... I hope they still consider my application.

Here are the errors:
My IELTS is 5 years old since I took the test
I opened all my transcripts
I did not send PCC
I put Nova Scotia on the VO field on my application. (all my docs are Manila, cover sheet checkist says Manila)

DHL tracking showed they received my application December 1, 2010 but they have not charged my credit card yet ::)

Hi kuwabunsi:

You still have all the time in the world, only 76 applicants in your NOC. In my opinion there is a good chance they will send your application back, and it will take about two months. But what you can do in the meantime makes all the difference. Quickly apply to take the IELTS exam again, so the results would get to you before your application gets back from CIO. Order new transcripts, and don't open them this time. You don't need to include your PCCs, but if you can get them great, do so. Read the CIO general guidelines for submitting applications, and VO specific guidelines, inside and out so you comply with everything they say. When your application gets to you, hopefully in one or two months, correct everything, include all the new documents and send it off right away... If you do all this, you have only lost two months!! What is that in a lifetime?? Don't give up!

Best of luck,
Cam

Hey guys, I just find out about the spreadsheet with all the information. That is so GREAT. Whoever did this is my HERO. Amazing work buddy. God Bless You.

Hi kuwabunsi,

I will honestly advise you to quickly retake IELTS test and prepare another application. I don't think the 1st one will go through. I do not wish to discourage you. We are like one big family in this forum. You still have huge chance of meeting the 1000 cap. Your NOC has 76 apps as at last week. I don't think your NOC will ever get 1000 applications (even if its open till 2013). Contact your university (ies) for new transcripts.
On a different note, intending applicants should always read VO instructions before filling out their forms. A member of the forum was rejected because s/he filled India instead of ND for visa office.
All the best.

Shalom

With the open transcript and PCC, in the manila checklist photocopy of transcript will suffice and PCC (NBI for us) is not required initialy. But with your IELTS (I know someone whos IELTS was expired over a month and was returned) and the VO label thats not good. I wish I could say something good about it, some forumers here before had their files returned because of wrong VO. I hope I am wrong. Anyway, good luck.

Just a suggestion, book yourself to the earliest IELTS schedule ( just in case they will ask you for another one without returning your file). I think the earliest is first week of january and the schedule now is easily filled up.

Hi,

Please consult our website at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/
police-cert/index.asp for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain
police certificates from any country in which you have lived for over (6) six months
since the age of 18 years.
Note: For applications received at the (CIO) prior to June 26, 2010, you must submit
police certificates with your complete application and supporting documents to the

If your application is received at the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, you are strongly

are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your
application to the CIO without them
. However, please note that if your application is
placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when
requested.

For transcripts certified true copy is required

Check the link for the manila VO requirement.
