Just phoned them. They asked if I included a Offer of Permenant employment. I said I had, because, well, I did. Then they said (in summary) "Yes CIO made a mistake... but there's nothing we can do. You have to resubmit your application and mark it urgent to reinstate your case."

What a joke. I'm utterly appalled at this. I refuse to have to wait till the pack comes back and resubmit again because how can I then prove that it was their mistake? It's just disgusting this whole thing. I'm fuming.

My work permit runs out in June next year, I was counting on this progressing properly to ensure I did not have to obtain a new LMO/TWP.
Hi Jimmy,
Sorry to know about your case but its just ridiculuos. Thats why CIC should regularly update us on our status from completeness check to eligibility review to AOR. The can simply assign file number and let us check our status. BTW, did you inquire abour applicant or CIC sent you an email/letter?

Good job Khai,
You are the first and only one to get AOR today...so CIC is moving at snail pace atleast....

Oh my God ...CanadaJimmy you are freaking me out. This happened to me when I applied as an International Student they returned my application saying that there is no sufficient evidence as well...that was in June and then they completely eliminated FSW3.
I re-applied with a job offer from my current Canadian employer and a copy of my PGWP. My credit card has been charged. Reading this I am now super anxious.

Did you indicate on the application that you have an offer of employment? I don't remember which form but there is a section that asks whether you have an offer of employmend confrimed by HRSDC. I said no.

On Schedule 3 Economic Classes, I answered the Following:
3. Do you have an offer of employment in Canada approved by Human Resources Development Canada?
No

4. Are you currently working in Canada under a work permit?
Yes - Provide a copy of your work permit (I did)

In the application, I included a copy of my Work Permit and Permanent Job Offer Letter. I did not include the LMO as this was not required as per the checklist.

The bottom line is, they screwed up, and I'm paying the price for it. If I did make a mistake, like forgot to include something, the email I got gives me no idea as to what I'm supposed to change since everything they claim I got wrong, I did not.

Anyway congrats Khai, at least someone got some positive news today =)

EDIT: Just spotted your post Johnny!:

They just sent me the email unprovoked. I guess what I got was an "NER" :P

YAHOOOO!!! ANOTHER ONE FROM MANILA!!! Congratulations Khai. I was thinking that your application would not be eligible because of your Academic IELTS, but your PER only proves that it is acceptable!!! :D ;)

hi canadajimmy and Mahek,

im sorry to hear that canadajimmy abour ur returned application...
the reason why the cio returned the application because your job offer needs to be validated and approved by hrsdc before you can submit ur application as FSW2....so if u have noticed theres a question in the form if yourjob offer assessed by hrsdc and i think you will wait for a couple of months to get the approval of your job offer...

just my 2 cents..

Advice please. This is INSANE. I provided everything. I didn't need to provide HRSDC BECAUSE I PROVIDED A WORK PERMIT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN

Hello CanadaJimmy,

Very sorry to hear that from you :(:(. I second other members' views on this as to you MUST fight and get this done!. You just cant settle down for no fault of yours. Until now we heard about machines(yes they are) who did pathetic >:( >:( completeness checks and returned files for very silly reasons. Looks like those resources :o :o are being used for eligibility reviews as well >:( >:(. So, 'no problem, you can reapply' is the answer you get for a big mistake of theirs?? This is completely ridiculous :-[ :-[

We stand with you, and good luck for your resubmission :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
