My passport & my spouse passport going to expire in 2013 ( 2 years validity from now ), is there any possibility that VO may asks us for renewing the same? As VO asked your hubby passport to get renewed so hope you may advise me on this issue.

The reason why NDVO asked for a new passport for Prab is, his passport is issued in 1999 and the picture looks very different . His passport is valid until 2019. Now i have to convince the passport officials to issue a new passport for him .

Your case, i don't think you would require a new one anyway. As long as it's valid for a year, it must be good to go.

On the letter, it says clearly VO will do the final eligibility review. If not satisfying, they will send a letter with reasons and refund the application fee.

As you say I think 2nd eligibility review is nowhere near as thorough as CIO's - it is IMO a "quick check" against 67 points and duties to ensure CIO made no big errors.

So do people think that we're safely through the 2nd eligibility review once we go "In Process" with "we started processing on XYZ" on ECAS?

For me also, definition of "processing" has had me in pickle for some time. Went through all the possible locations for the definition but was not able to find what exactly is it.
The gap between 1st acknowledgement and the 2nd one is in questions. what was the VO doing with our file between this period?
Going by the OP manual given to VO the stage "In Process" comes only after the VO has re reviewed our application and has found the given documents to be sufficient in order to "process" it further. It would be rather surprising that after the "In process" stage the VO decides to go back in the processing order.
But keeping in mind the previous record of Immigration Canada, 'you never know'!!!

After all this the question of IN PROCESS still remains a mystery. 8)

Congratulation, hope 2011 for the 2nd AOR dated 4 April.
Exactly 30 days from the date of PER, Singapore VO issued 2nd AOR for post June 26.

I had a problem with my payment , they issued my application number and B05 number before recieve my payment , finally on 1 April they inform me that they are able clear my payment and forwarded my file to VO. I am a Bangladeshi and Visa Office Singapore Noc code :4152

I also had a passport issued in 1998 valid till 2018. I faced lot of problems while traveling all over the world (specially USA). I am not sure about your`s but mine was Handwritten(what is your`s like).
I went to the regional passport office and explained them my position. I faced no problems and they issued me another one and cancelled the older one.
Just try (i used handwritten funda with them)

I think you need to go for change of photograph in your hubby's passport. Same is in my case where visa office had asked for change of photograph in my daughter's passport. I had applied at passport office on 29th of last month, where they told me it will take minimum 45 days and there is no Tatkal service for reissue of passports.

This is the similar version you got from the passport office??

Hi! I mailed my application to CIO on January 21, 2011, and on March 21, 2011 I received a NER. I am interested in applying again but I really have to wait for my documents and processing fee refund. For those who have the same scenario, do you think I will get these back from them before June? Is it correct that the cut-off of 20,000 FSW applicants and 1,000 per eligible NOC will end on June? Any particular date/s? Your reply/ies is much appreciated.

Hey Indira,

You can apply under the tatkal Skim and show them letter which you received from NDVO asking for new passport. In tatakl you will get new passport within 7 days.

I dont think so you will any problem in this.

Raj, i guess Coimbatore allows Tatkal for this.. I reissued my passport for a change of place of birth and they gave it in 7 days. I'm planning to visit the office tomorrow and see what can be done. Thanks for the documentation help, it's pretty much the same thing as with fresh passports.

Yes, Wayne. I strongly believe that you are safely through the final eligibility review, since you are already In-Process! The letter from Singapore VO says clearly that this final review is done before processing. So now you just need to have a bit more patience. And I really need to keep my fingers crossed for this final review (also pls pls not put me in the interview list).

Honestly I think you ME is coming any day this month!
