Dear Wayne
Thanks for the prompt reply and I appreciate your feedback. I do understand your frustration and agree with you as you had applied before me and I hope you get your MR straight away but looks like your visa officer needs freshly brewed Brazilian coffee to wake up.... :D

I understand your point on the missing gap but it would make sense for them to have stated the missing gap ONLY for the whole year of 2004 rather then from June 2003 to January 2005 as I finished my masters in December 2003.

I am totally confused :-\ about the Police certificates because I thought they should be asking for the FBI certificate rather than the state certificates and most of all that line is also incomplete so really don't know which one are they asking for or just an FBI certificate would suffice. They have given me 45 days from today to send them schedule 1 and the police certificates. Would appreciate the help and response of US applicants. :-[
Well, I second what senior members have said about completing the missing gap, it was clearly mentioned in their guide that there shouldn't be any gaps (or missing time frame) in the application or delays might occur. Therefore, just fill the missing time zone & resend it to them, I know that it's funny that they have mentioned since June 2003 rather than December 2003, I can only think that it must have been some sort of a mistake from the officer, unless June accounts for the beginning of something else in your application which might not have been very well documented (in such a case, try to get better documents for it). & You can also write the covering letter suggested by the seniors enquiring about why they asked for that specific period of time.

As for the PCCs, I guess that the best approach would be to get it as State PCCs (as long as that is possible), but if you think that that is difficult & since you already got your FBI clearance, if I were you I would send them the FBI clearance & clarify that you already got it in advance to as not to delay your application & that it covers the whole country & ask them if they still need the State ones.. I can see that in some cases, VOs might change their minds regarding their additional requirements.

I hope that helps,
I am happy we finally started to hear again from London VO
good luck,
basmalahh

Hey guy's,

Need your advise!

I had applied for some endorsement in my daughter's passport on 29th of last month. They told me it will take minimum 45 days to get the new booklet, which is beyond the time-lines given by the visa office to submit the RPRF & PPR.

Now, I'm in a fix situation... thinking of sending RPRF & our passport's ( self & spouse) to visa office in couple of days with the request letter for extension of submission of dependent's passport.

Please provide your inputs... It is recommended.

Rgds,Raj.
I think what you suggested is the most appropriate approach for the situation..

Another approach would be to send them an enquiry asking them for an extension (because of your dependent's passport situation) & then send the whole thing together.

best wishes,
basmalahh

Dear friends,

First:

I have been quite busy the past few days and i missed over 30 pages. I overlooked the spread sheet. Congratulations for all who received their medicals including Cairo, magdy580, indira and snow100 who received his 2nd AOR.

Second:
Friends,
even though I'm not in the mood at all :( :( :(,anxious, worried, very tired and frustrated :'( :'( :'( enough to share anything with anyone...but i have always been faithful to the forum and i should share this:

I'm assuring you that the VO performs another eligibility review for sure and here is the story:

Last Wednesday, 30th of March, my wife (the main applicant) received unexpected  phone call at 9 am exactly from the Canadian Embassy in Cairo. As per my wife, the officer was Egyptian, very polite but also very strict.

She asked her about 2 major concerns:

1)There were about 2 years of overlapping between her work at the government and another work for a drug factory. The officer asked her for documented explanation and proof of her work and her vacation from the governmental institution.

2) She asked about explanation for how and why her contract with the drug factory wasn't written except after quite long time from start working with them.

The officer didn't give a dead line for submitting the documents and asked my wife if she has her file number.

We are working on getting the documents but we actually facing very hard times. The attitude of those in the human resources at her work are really really awful. They are quite rude and impolite. We are going here and there since Wednesday for nothing till now!!! I think there are people who really really enjoy delaying your work to be done!! I guess i can only now imagine why my wife left this factory and why she hates her governmental work and has always been describing it by her GRAVE!!

Dear friends,
you have always been supportive to me. And i really really need your prayers and faithful wishes.

wish me luck!

Dear Amro elsayed, Moori, engy, basmallah: I really appreciate your concerns and prayers for me.I'm so grateful.

Dear engy,
I'm praying for you to get your medicals very very soon. I suggest you send them inquiry about your file.

Dear all Cairo applicants,
only you who can understand the hell of practicing you right in getting a document. So pray for me and my wife to get out of this nightmare safely.

Dear smaar,
I remember you in my prayers. Pls tell me how was your IELTS results? Hope you have done well.

I have alot to finish tomorrow and i need to sleep.

If, after getting and sending the documents, we'll hear any thing good, i'll tell you right away. But if their feedback regarding what we are going to send will be bad...then i doubt i can participate anymore!

Wish you all, all the luck.

canady
Dear Canady,
well, what can I tell you?. Forum members have told you more than enough, being it the last hurdle in your path to your dreamland & having a second look at your signature (which is one of my favorites by the way).

Dear, just please try to keep your spirits high & I KNOW how very tiring dealing with those government administrators can be in our country. They didn't even want to give me my experience letter though it's my legal right!!! They ARE very funny people & I can't get why they act that way. I guess that is one of the remnants of the very bad situation our Egypt has been through in the previous era.

Anyway dear, nothing comes easy in this world, just have a look at a baby being born to life, how hard he has to work just to get out. But it's always the last step to freedom that requires the most work.. doesn't it? :) "إن مع العسر يسرا" "With difficulty is surely ease". Isn't that right? :)

I will PM you all the tricks I have got up my sleeves regarding dealing with governmental employees (since the ones in my work are as funny as the ones in your wife's office & maybe even worse) :).

In the meanwhile.. Remember that the sweetest part comes after the worst.. So keep your eyes on the sweet :)
& don't you think of leaving our forum.. How are you going to live without us now that you are used to us? :D lol

We are with you dear, just keep going & take your time,
basmalahh

Regarding Canadian Immigration Integration Program CIIP ,

Though I haven't received my medical request nor even a 2nd AOR from my Visa Office, I & my husband have registered with CIIP as their site stated that we can register as long as we have an invitation from CIC http://www.newcomersuccess.ca/index.php/en/about-ciip/who-is-eligible. I considered the sentences at the end of my Positive Eligibility review an invitation to contact them.

After 2-3 weeks from my registration, they sent the following as a part of an email:
Dear Client
Thank you for registering for CIIP.
In order to complete your registration and to be considered for an upcoming CIIP Session, you MUST submit a COPY of the following eligibility documents:
A. Medical Examination Notification Letter OR Visa Notification Letter OR Visa
B. Resume

I replied by stating that in response to their request of my positive eligibility document, I forward the email I received from CIO, & highlighted the part where it mentions the "final positive eligibility" & pointed out to CIIP the sentence at the end of the email where CIO advises that I contact them & highlighted that as well.

After another 2-3 weeks, I received an invitation to a session which I am still going to attend isA (by god's will)

I am stating that in details incase someone would like to register before their medicals..

Wishing you the best of luck,
basmalahh

It is disappointing.. but soon isA (by god's will) they'll wake up :) Are they also dealing with the pre-June with the post June as London VO? if so, then maybe that's the cause of the slowness

but there is actually nothing we can do about it but be patient & try to occupy ourselves with productive & positive things during the wait.. :)

Dear Admins

Pls update my 2nd AOR, letter dated 4th April, received 6th April.

On the letter, it says clearly VO will do the final eligibility review. If not satisfying, they will send a letter with reasons and refund the application fee.

Thanks.
